Great video. Thank you so much for such a clear and clean explanation. One question I had was that I am planning to use a notebook environment for my senior design project during college. Our group is planning to use this for implementing GAN and YOLO models to detect defects in 3D printing. Since we are planning to use at least 1000 images for the training dataset for each type of defect, we wanted to know which notebook is good. Do you think Google Colab will be a good fit for such a project?
A VM with colab on the marketplace in Google cloud costs $240 a month and offers a T4 with 16GB VRAM and 2 vCPUs with 13GB RAM and 200GB SSD. This could be an alternative for people that are fenced out from colab pro.
Can you please upload a video on how to load large data files using the GCP notebook? I tried one way using upload in the notebook. Are there any other ways of uploading files ? For example, as you know we use google.colab library to upload files from the drive and from the local machine.
Google Colab is free. You don't need to buy it. Unless you want to use Colab Pro. And I am pretty sure that you can use Colab in Nigeria. Just go to colab.research.google.com/ and start using.
