I really want to acquire these skills- to thoroughly understand and use Google docs. I quickly became lost in your video. If this is for beginners, I need the dummies' version- or maybe-one for total idiots. I'm already lost at "create a document or folder, and decide where to put it..."
This video was extremely helpful. I was referred here by ALX as I am currently taking their Virtual Assistant Course. All concepts were highly simplified and easy to understand. I can't thank you enough. -Khadeejah.
I am not a fan of tutorials as they either move too quickly or bore me. This guy has the perfect blend of showing and explaining so I get it and I was never bored. Bravo and thank you! I will check out your other features!
Because of this video I will definitely start with Google documents, what a beautiful discovery for me. Loved your instructions. I will always look forward to see your videos.
Thank you! Really appreciate those kind words. Glad you found value in the video and hope that with the other videos you will be able to successfully continue your exploration of Google Docs.
This was fantastic. Thank you for communicating so much useful information in such a concise way while also demonstrating the real world application. It sounds obvious that this is what should and would be done to teach, but it often is not. Thank you, I will be saving this as my reference!
Great video! I am a Christian pastor and very new to Google Docs. I plan to use it for writing sermons, Christian education workbooks and ebooks. I just subscribed to your channel and will be watching this video again, with notebook and pin in hand. Again, great video! Keep up the good work.
I wished I could have a save as when I wanted to save the file as pdf on the drive. I could achieve this by download the file as pdf, and uploaded it to the drive.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I now have to be learning how to use Google Classroom to teach my Grade Two students. Grade Two students are ages 7 and 8. I have to practise to get my teaching ideas organized so I can adequately apply myself.
I absolutely can't wait for a signature tab on both MS Word and Google Docs document. This is a feature i have been waiting for, for the longest time! Many Thanks to the Tutor😀
My favorite feature in docs is voice typing and explore button with citation. Docs are great! I would like that we can use different page setup for slides, not just have to use the one we choose for the whole deck.
This is my first time enjoying your RU-vid channel. Great content! Looking forward to hearing more from you! Your video was so informative. Thank you so much!
This is most - BEST VIDEO - we have seen for a while on explaining everything in great detail - wooooo we do not just say this - and we hardly ever give a good - the best - review - YOU ARE THE BEST - WILLIAM AND WILMA
I just loved the way you presented this. Very sorted, to the point. No problem with the duration of the video. I simply enjoyed the learning !! Citation tool was amazing to discover.
WOW!! Sethi! Top job in showing off the features and possibilities of Google Docs. Your video was very well put together with your post processing making things easier to understand. I, like you, use Docs every day, but I learned a few new things while watching, so thank you. Won't it be great when we can choose between portrait and landscape in a single document. This has been a bug-bear of mine for years now... Terrific Sethi!
Thank you, @FCT I was referred to your video by ALX team as I am currently taking their VA Course. This is quite a resource. My knowledge has been broadened. Thank you again
i have to admit i had to restart multiple multiple multiple times going back and forth to my test demo. BUT it was very helpful as I am a Microsoft word user but this was super helpful to me as I am taking a class and this is the preferred format to submit work...thanks =) for the lesson.
Due to covid 19, I now learnt to conduct online Swim Classes with notes, infographics, short videos and reflections. Tks for this interesting tutorials.
Thank you for these tutorials! I have a busy day of working directly with individuals and have not had time to really get into these google functions that we are using daily in the schools. I am definitely sharing with co-workers like myself who need some help.
Thank you! This was great. I've used Docs for a long time, but never "trained". I'm happy to learn the adding word count option, as well as Explore Tool (which is now bottom right), and citations. So helpful.
Excellent video , learnt a lot of things that I was unaware of & was tired of searching via google. The video was simple, practical and easy to comprehend
Thank you so much! I came here to figure out the version history thing and learned A LOT. I especially appreciate you explaining the paintbrush formatting tool, the document outline tool (and formatting involved with that), and the explore tool. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Wow thank you so much for this video! You did an excellent job in outlining the many functions though by being succinct in your presentation as well. Keep up the great work!
Hello, you were asking what people thought Goggle docs is missing? Well I have one. How do you change the Google Docs default font and size so that when you open Google Docs it is set with your font and size, so you don't have to set it up all the time when you start a new docs file. That is one feature that I miss about Office that I wish Google docs had in its system. You do great videos. Keep it up!
I think you can accomplish this by using the style settings. Near the top you should see a drop-down that says "normal text" and it has a predefined font. Type something in the font and size that you want, highlight it then using the drop-down from normal text you will see an arrow, click the arrow and select the "UPDATE TO MATCH" option (not apply). This should set the default normal fault to the style you have selected.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was easy to understand and I have gained so much information on google docs. I do have a very beginner question though; where is the thesaurus?
Thank you! Glad it was helpful. Google Docs does not have a separate thesaurus but does have a dictionary with built-in synonyms that can be used. To acces this you would first select the word, then click on tools, dictionary. You can also use the shortcut. Ctr+Shift+Y
OH wow! You took me to a different level as a beginner... Thank you so much, you are the best, so straight to the point, I'm giving you the best teacher in the world. A quick question, Can I still work on my documents or open them when I'm offline?
You are my hero!!! Very very nice and clear tutorial! Love it! 4th week of school suspension in Hong Kong, managing my classes via Google Classroom but there is still a lot to know. I learn also with my daughters (who are at home also and do their homelearning with their school using google classroom also). I do have a question: how to link under the word "here" for instance, a video from my drive??? Thanks a million in advance!
thank you for sharing Google docs and teaching me all these great features I will now use Google Docs for completing my Book. I have a contract with Balboa Press part of Hay Publishing
