Dear Professor, thank you so much for your passion and effort. You finally democratized the geo-science for every student: before geemap was pretty impossible for everyone to use, manipulate geodata without specif skills. The world is a better place with people like you, and I want to express my personal gratitute because you costance and devotion inspire me everyday to be a better person, a better professor and help students to reach more information thanks to python and open source projects! Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for the kind words! That means a lot to me. My goal is to make geospatial technology more accessible, and I am pleased to hear that my work is making a difference.
@@giswqs What've you done is something astonishing! I teach machine learning and deep learning in Italy, and thanks to Keras, Google Colab, it's easy for all students to follow and use machine learning tools. Before geemap, was pretty impossible to query o manipulate data with python code for them, and noone really take care about the gap beetween students and the API of Google Heart Engine in javascript. I can't express my personal gratitute as I want, but I will share geemap features to all my students. You deserve the best, god bless you!
@@t3labvision179 That's fantastic to hear. Thank you very much for the kind words. Check out my other repo with 300+ GEE notebooks that are readily available to be used with Google Colab github.com/giswqs/earthengine-py-notebooks
I am very impressed! You just revolutionized geoprocessing! So inspirational. Thank you very much, Mr. Qiusheng Wu! I will definetely use and propagate this tool!
thank you Professor! I had to learn English to find this type of content with such scientific quality, I am not disappointed. Thank you very much for all your effort. Greetings from Nicaragua.
Thank you Prof. My first degree was in geophysics and now I am data scientist. I have been following most of your lessons and I have fallen in love with geospatial data, maybe the next phase of my career would be geospatial data scientist or ml for earth observation.
For anyone encountering issues when running "conda install geemap -c conda-forge". (My error: Solving environment: failed with initial frozen solve. Retrying with flexible solve.) You may try the following suggestion from Dr. Wu other video, If you are encountering issues installing geemap using conda, try the following commands: conda create -n gee python=3.8 conda activate gee pip install geemap
Brilliant sir you have put alot of efforts in it thank you so much for making this detailed tutorial. Really grateful to see this video. I have a question can I do supervised classification for soil carbon data and see the difference
Thanks Professor for the guide. Please I'm sorry for bothering you. I followed the steps and the installation was successful but when jupyter notebook opened there was no Nbextension. Please can you help me out. Thanks
Dear Wu, I have used machine learning for filling missing precipitation data using jupyter notebook, but I am unable to create excel file for the estimated data.please help in solving this issue.
Dear Professor I had a question and I need your help and guidance I used the colab environment to write the test program, but for a week now I have not been sent an authentication code from gmail and I am directly connected to the geemap page, I do not know what to do to solve the problem?
Has anyone had a problem importing gee tool? I have successfully installed the geemap package but nothing has changed. Anyway, thanks a lot for these very useful lessons.
hi.sir i cant create account in Google Earts engine and this message came to me in account messages (Thanks for your application to use Earth Engine. Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your account using the information provided. To increase the likelihood of verification, please sign up using: an email associated with a recognized research or educational organization, your full name, the full name of your organization (i.e. no abbreviations), and a detailed description of what you would like to accomplish with Earth Engine. Good content, thank you for your work. Can you use Colab for this too? Once interacting with GEE can you apply all the python libraries to spatial data?
Yes, you can use Colab with limited interactive functionality. Most of the interactive tools are built upon ipyleaflet and ipywidets. Unfortunately, Colab does not yet support ipyleaflet. See geemap.org/faq/#why-does-geemap-use-two-plotting-backends-folium-and-ipyleaflet
Sir , I cant import geemap module. Followed the steps in "Set up a conda environment". I am showing you the last line of the error message : ValueError: Token is required for this provider, but not provided. You can either update TileProvider or pass respective keywords to build_url() Please help me sir.
Sir did it. Your positivity made it possible. Followed it: conda create -n gee python=3.8 conda activate gee conda install geopandas conda install mamba -c conda-forge mamba install geemap xarray_leaflet -c conda-forge
Thanks a lot for sharing this tutorial, it is fantastic! I am getting error "NameError: name 'ccrs' is not defined" when plotting in Map masking section. Have you got any idea what might be wrong?
Hello! Thank you, professor for this amazing video. I have a question, how could I create a Timelapse animation with two different layers in my map? I have already my code for my two layers and I'm able to visualize them in my map, but I need an animation for various years with those two layers. Thank you in advance!
Dear Professor..I had a question. Is it possible to have two GEEmap interfaces side-by-side on the same web-page? If yes, would I need two seperate GEE accounts if I wanted them to work seperately? How could I link functions and buttons seperately, or jointly (like zoom for comparison) for these maps?
@@giswqs I am developing a transport simulation model where I need to show the network analysis (original vs simulated result) which would be vector based (networkx). I was able to work the two panels using flex and VBox from ipywidgets. split_panel was a smooth touch. Thank you so much for the ideas..
I hope you can reply to me. I would like to communicate with you. I am a master's student and I want to ask you about something. I applied the interpolation to my data using () but I would like to verify its validity, meaning I want to do () for the data, but I did not find a way that gives good results. Please reply
