I am a iPhone user. I still have both chrome and Google search on my phone because they’re simply a better product. Google won’t lose much market share even if they’re not a default option. Meta’s products or RU-vid are not default but they’re as dominant. If Google was to spend the money it spends on these deals on incentivising consumers like free space on Google drive, photos, maybe a cheaper Gen AI etc. and marketing, Google will have as much traffic (almost).

While trillions of dollars are going to be spent on AI, meanwhile kids are being killed sheltering in schools. What an amazing world we live in… karma will soon be singing. But you guys are doing an awesome job on the podcast. I love you guys. Keep it up. But I just need to say what needs to be said. @hardfork, mrBeast is a con artist. Anybody who’s finds a way to make money off giving people money is running a scam. So when you folks find a story about people he’s physically harmed through negligence your responses to laugh at the victims. Has Covid broken all of our brains. Shame on you both. MrBeast isn’t too big to fail, you two clowns. One of these days, MrBeast is gonna go to jail and this episode is going to age like milk.
Technology adoption by users is not based on time…it’s based on its cost….microwave ovens became an household standard when cost came down….same applies with AI. Everyone I know who uses AI gave up on OpenAI for example because of its cost and switch to llama or others where it’s free or low cost per tokens. No need to over analyze this guys. It’s $$$$ that drives adoption.
