Thanks, super helpful. I'm considering moving from Zoom to Google Meet simply because it appears to be less expensive with more features at my disposal... at least once I've set up Google Workspace which I'm finding a little tricky.
Thanks for the review. I'm a teacher with lots of Zoom experience. On the side, I have a small hiking/camping group for which I host online meetings before so people can find out more about them. I've used Zoom, but I'm going to try Meet for my next one because of the one hour limit. Our meetings seem to go a bit beyond the 40 minute Zoom limit, so I'm hoping that Meet will work well for me--I don't think the meetings will last more than one hour, and I really don't want them to 🙂
I started out with Zoom and then moved to Teams. I am a solopreneur and Teams is overkill (and bloated) for my needs. I'm considering moving to Meet. I'm nervous, but this video is encouraging.
Which platform streams video without fps drop. Me and my friends tried to setup a watch party using meet , my Wi-Fi speed is also 200 Mbps but meet was giving only around 5-10 fps for the screen share , so is zoom any better?
Zoom and Google Meet are not meant for high fps streaming. It might be best to stream to Twitch or RU-vid and share the link to people who want to watch. Discord might also do this well.
They both do a decent job of recording. Quality of the video is going to be 720p which is not ideal. Better to use proper Screen software like Camtasia (windows) or Screenflow (Mac) to record your screen and edit the video for publishing.
