I am so confused as to how this video doesn't have a billion views. My first time here, and you just got my whole life together. Thank you, and yes, I liked, shared, and subscribed.
I can't tell you enough how helpfully this video was. Took my listing from something ordinary to stunning. I am a believer sir and cheers to you and all of your work.
Love this, straightforward demonstration with visuals and instructions, steady pace and broken up into manageable sections. I have spent several hours updating 6 listings and this has been stress free, thank you so much.
Where would we be without you?! I need to sign up for a consultation with you soon to fine tune my rankings. What a wealth of information you are my man!
@Ranking Academy 3 business I Market for and manage their GBP want to leave me a review, but their reviews aren't showing up on my GBP. Is it because I'm a manager on their accounts?
Your context is top notch! Thank you for all the info. You are amazing as you are helping lost people like me fulfilling her dreams I hope you are getting the same positivity back. God bless you.
Sir, your videos are the best learning videos i have ever watch on youtube. Thanks for educating me in an easy and perfect way sir. I have liked and subscribed
Excellent tutorial as always Luc and all for FREE all business owners should discover your channel I for one always tell businesses that I know to sign up to Ranking Academy.
That was the most comprehensive tutorial I've ever wathed on any subject. Lot's of new tips and info I had no idea about. I was surprised learning that the listing's description has zero effect on ranking. I thought that it was there where you add the most important keywords for your profile. And the question arises, if not there where? Where do we add keywords in GBP?
The only place where you can add keywords to help rankings is in your business name. Anywhere else will be a waste of time. For more info on this topic watch this short video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PEpEbY1773Q.html
Great stuff. Sounds about right. Depending on how competitive your niche is, it will be difficult to expand your visibility beyond your 5 k radius unless you create more locations (if you can) or target additional locations through organic results via your website
Thanks for making this. Your video was mostly a refresher for me, but it gave me some new ideas. I’m going to use my 3rd party appointment url as the appointment link. I add a UTM parameter to separate the GMB visits from regular organic Google visits in Google Analytics. I disabled the messaging feature because I was getting too much spam, but I may ask clients if they want to use it. For e-commerce stores, would you recommend adding the products on GMB with a link to the product page?
You have done a very nice and useful video man. Thanks. Help us further in using Google My business for daily , monthly exploit. May be uploading intelligently the photos, videos, new updates and others about the business. Also suggest new ideas please.
I believe Google now allows the use of a Facebook page as a website link, which was previously marked as an error if i try to add my page link, but now I can add it.
Nope. Although you may have been able to add a link, It's still against the guidelines: support.google.com/business/answer/3038177?hl=en-GB#zippy=%2Cwebsite-phone
Thanks Luc Durand. I am sure you covered everything which is important for GMB Ranking. After watching this video, no need to buy any GMB course. Can we use our services (like cleaning etc) as products also?
I've only had one problem: I can't post my business pictures. Google Business deletes them every single time I upload them. Context: I'm a boudoir photographer I've been following your recommendations and my business started to move forward. I can't find the words to express how grateful I am.
Hello - love your video - and agree with most of it - you are doing a great job spreading knowledge in regards to GBP - but I cant agree with your claim that business description does not influence the ranking factor... do a simple experiment - remove your business description and watch how your position is changing. In my opinion, it is one of the most important sections - as you inform Google what you do.
Hi Marius, I'm sorry to say you're completely wrong on this. If it did matter every business owner would spam their description to death with keywords. Check this article from the highly reputable search engine land: searchengineland.com/no-the-google-my-business-description-does-not-impact-ranking-329176
GREAT content as always Luc - Another Masterclass! Question you may be able to answer for me. If I am to dedicate some time each month to "push reviews" for a client as part of an overall service I provide to them currently and lets say that day I am proactively requesting customers to give the business a review & they start getting a number of reviews in on the same day, does google have a "review limit" which they look at as " review spam". I don't want to do the hard work to end up getting penalised because of the amount of reviews I got in though my hard work? Thanks in advance.
I'm only 5/8ths through this and my GMB looks way better. Subscribed. Is there a way to choose which of my photos appears on my profile? Thank you, Luc.
such a great video! I own a service business and one of our competitors has swept the city with using their employees homes as locations. We are following the rules but man it bites when they are ranking across the city :(
@@rankingacademy thank you Luc! I have just done this (they have 6 homes across the city!) I will keep my fingers crossed! Thank you! I am watching all your videos avidly to get more knowledge- I think I'm learning more than my web/marketing company! LOL! Thank you!
You got a new sub and these videos are gold! I’ve been struggling for so long, one question I have though I set up my gmb before I was serious about my business. How do I change the email associated with my gmb?
I'm hardly an SEO novice but thought I'd ask a Google business profile question. I have a client where Google changes the business hours every week. Google support won't tell me where the change is coming from. I suspected a competitor was suggesting the change but I'm not convinced most competitors are that knowledgeable about SEO. On our local schema and all directory listings we use the same opening hours but still Google change it every week. The change means the business is showing as closed at most times of the day and therefore lower in local listings. In this particular niche I also found many competitors were adding keywords to their business name even though they did not use these keywords elsewhere. I suggested change and Google did remove the keywords.
Interesting. I agree, I am very doubtful someone would take the time to change the hours all the time. There are plenty of other things they could do to make it difficult for your clients. In most cases it will come from a third party source Google has found elsewhere, keep digging
@@rankingacademy I've been unable to find any third party source and what's frustrating is the correct hours must be listed on at least 20+ sources. I'm tending to feel it's a Google glitch and what's annoying is that Google support is next to useless. They won't give any help about how to prevent it.
Great video. Thank you. What are premium rate numbers? appointment link I suggest going to your website page with calendly embedded so your website's FB and google ad network retargeting pixels kick in
Premium-rate telephone numbers are telephone numbers that charge callers higher price rates for select services. A portion of the call fees is paid to the service provider, allowing premium calls to be an additional source of revenue for businesses. Nice tip about the calendar link, thanks
I display my home address even though I'm a service area business. It's on my business license so they ok'd it but I'm still not comfortable with it. But I've always heard that it improves rankings so I decided to post it
