It's not the only phone from 2012, the Nokia Lumia 920 came out 11 days earlier and was the first photo to support Qi wireless charging. It's also the first phone with optical image stabilization (OIS)
JM TechReview but we are losing some cool things phones used to have. That sick LED notification light, that comfy rounded shape, most comfortable multitasking menu is dropped as wel
Sinan Aydın pay attention where that led used to be located. And how is used to work. Pay attention on rounded shape of this phone, LG Nexus, Moto X - they are the same style Google invented back then.
Zahid Amin Umm yeah, I have the Nexus 4. And yeah trust me. The CPU and GPU on the iPhone 6 wrecks the Nexus 4's not to mention the camera and battery... You are looking at just numbers and for that you are moron.
Fire have you seen the CPU and the 1 gig of RAM. Even 2 years later, a snapdragon 400 has higher clock speeds than an A8. And maybe the battery life is bad due to the processing android requires unlike iOS. And not to mention both have an 8mp camera, even 2 years later THEY STILL don't make a higher res camera for the price. Over $700 vs 249
Had to go back to my Nexus 4 recently after breaking my Nexus 6P, and I must say I am amazed at how buttery this thing still is. I have gigantic hands though so it looks and feels a bit strange when I hold it.
I've had my nexus 4 for like 3/4 years now and works as good as it did on the day I got it except that it heats up really really quickly (much quicker than it used to) from just talking over messenger and listening to music. It is almost perfect, it's my favourite phone I ever had and the only reason why I want to upgrade is because snapchat doesn't work well with it but then I don't know if that is the phone or the OS and the camera is a bit shit.
I hate when people say back in 2012 what ever phone they have they say this phone sucks. Now few years later. I miss this phone it was a great phone I should of never upgrade. like really.
Actually, it does. It has HSPA+ which is a 4G network. What it lacks is LTE bands, and it even has those that people were able to enable (the few very advanced members of XDA).
I digged my old nexus 4 out. Unlocked Bootloader in couple seconds, Custom recovery, Lineage OS. My N4 runs 7.1.2 now and it handles it like a champ. I dont see why i Upgraded now 2 phones this runs super Smooth battery is fine. The only things i miss the new phones charge really fast (you have to charge a nexus 4 over the night) and the speaker is horrible. Display is sharp, looks sexy and the led notification just looks amazing. You can get this unlocked for 100 bucks get it for 2017
Here's my 2021 comment. lets see if it gets noticed. keep up the great work on the channel man. been watching you since the nexus 4 days and have been enjoying all of the content you put out. keep it up! I can't wait to see the good stuff you have planned for this year and the years going forward!
I've noticed that I keep watching kbhds' videos over and over again even if i've already watched them just because the way he presents himself in these videos just really grabs your attention. I still haven't found a video from him that I don't like THANK YOU MARQUES
This was my second ever smartphone. It’ll forever hold a special place in my heart for being a huge upgrade over my first ever smartphone, the Galaxy S2.
Dropped my precious Nexus 6P last week and destroyed it. Don't have the bread for a Note 8 yet so I pulled my life saver of a phone in the Nexus 4 out of retirement. It is still fairly buttery even though it will be 6yrs old this year. Seriously great backup phone to have lying around.
The Nexus 4 is my first smartphone and i like the overall features;but i'm having some issues in accessing my voicemail as well as the mike for accessing items.
The fact that we have a brother reviewing this amazing phone getting almost half-million views and I have yet to come across any negative/racist comments puts on smile on my face. Keep doing your thing fam
I have had the nexus 4 for about 3 months now and it is amazing. I don't drop my phone or anything but I really recommend a case. The performance is amazing and for $350 in Toronto on LTE, I am very happy. Great phone
I'm only one missing these great design on smartphones? Right now all brands drop the same phone with another model name. I miss you HTC one X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P ...
I regret not taking up this phone when I had my upgrade a few years ago, glad I jumped onto the nexus lineup with the 5 though. I love it, the pure android experience just sold it for me, as well as the affordability😏👍
You can use the USB cable and connect it to the PC. You can upload the music to a service like Dropbox or Google Drive and download the files. If you are running a computer that has bluetooth like many laptops do, you can transfer using it to your device. You can email yourself the files and download them on to your phone.
Whoever designed/built this phone should win the Nobel price for...phones. This phone makes my life so much better. You touch something and it responds in a nano second. The GS3 is among the best but the lag is unbearable for me. This phone so smooth that I cant imagine using any other phone right now.
Oh man I love your commentary you earned yourself a subscriber! Oh man I can't wait for my new refurbished lg nexus 4 to be delivered, you gave an excellent reivew
I have a Nexus 4 device. The Camera is not a game changer. And yes the camera also does not produce the best images. But, for day to day use and taking into account that it is just a Cellphone camera, it is more than sufficient. 8 MP back camera produces good quality pictures. Also the 4.3 Jellybean upgrade makes the picture rendition better! So if you want to buy a Nexus 4, go for it. Or wait for a few more months and you will have a Nexus 5 coming out soon enough! :)
I've never had this phone but I remember it so well, it was like the pinnacle of greatness for Nexus devices in general both for package and price. I'm gonna miss Nexus devices, I still have 2013 version of Nexus 7 that I use from time to time.
My friend just upgraded to this phone from a Tmobile my touch. She loves it. She recommended this to me. I'm upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S Blaze. I already love this phone..
Great review! for me watching video reviews helps me decide if should i buy a certain phone or not. its really helpful that's why I give all reviewers two thumbs up!
I bought this phone Christmas 2012 and I remember my friend bought an S3 at the same time. We used to argue about which one was better. I'm still using my Nexus 4 to this day, it has no lag at all and my friend has owned 2 more phones since. However as I approach the 3 year mark and the new Nexus phones have been announced I think it's about time I give myself an upgrade (thinking of the 5X). Nexus 4 - probably the best phone I've ever owned.
Hi Marques, Definitely your channel is one of the best in my collection. Especially the quality of the shots and the editing that goes in each of your reviews are superb! What camera do you use for capturing all your reviews? is it a cell phone camera or a full fledged one!? Question about Nexus 4's camera: I see most review not going in favour of the camera, I would like to know - is this to do with the lens or the chipset or is this only a software issue which can be fixed by a tweak?
great review my friend..there was hardly anything u missed over there..just point to point watever was necessary to know about it and really thanks for pointing out the constraints for 4G LTE..good one !
