I couldn't solve my problem even after following all the methods on internet. First you need to have balance to send sms in you bank registered prepaid mobile number, for postpaid number doesn't matter. I had all the things ticked but couldn't solve. Then i followed another method in which you need to go to file manager, then go to folder "Android", then go to folder "data", then find folder named "com.google.android.apps.nbu.paisa.user" and delete this folder. After that clear all recent apps. And then try activating the Google pay account or upi id. 100% working solution. Thanks.

3 quick questions 1. Besides you is account being held by others with same registered mobile number 2. Is bank supporting upi ( give me bank name ) 3. Do you have sufficient sms balance and have you given app sms access permissions .... just check

Gpay shows bank balance of a certain account of the bank .. . Whereas bank shows balance of all accounts summed together within that bank .... Thus the difference

Tried every bit of solutions available online but nothing worked, untill i uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it back. There i have it, back to normal. As simple as that!! Pls note that everything is checked whatever our brother has mentioned because technically it wouldn't work unless all those things being corrected.
