For upcoming viewers: that's not a scam. Never ever thought a massage could do anything but man, that worked! my phone dropped from my hands and screen went black (with some minor green flashes when holding power), phone still working (vibration) but nothing. After 2-3 massages and power holding, the phone rebooted normally. Thank you so much!
Didn't expect something this simple to work but the massage method actually fixed it for me. Thank you for saving me potentially hundreds of dollars to get it fixed!
Oh my gosh I can't believe it worked. Took letting it charge and the tapping stage again but I"M BACK. Oh thank you. I have had this Pixel 4 sitting not using it and JUST got it up and running and dropped it with no visible damage to the outside of the phone. I was devastated as I'd been enjoying a "new to me" phone for less than a week when I dropped it today. THANK YOU!
It's amazing and pretty hilarious that for a phone made after 2020 any steps beyond the first few have any chance of working at all, and they actually really do.
Thank you. The two finger pounding saved me. Brought back the screen and fixed the power button that quit working long ago. So glad I dont have to buy another phone. Thank you thank yoy
Hi, I lost my phone and went to go use this phone (my old one) and what's weird is there are some (not many) pixels that work on the top, bottom, and sides so I can tell my screensaver is on but most all the screen is black...so a little different than an all black screen. I've gone through all the steps once and just wondering if it's worth continuing. I used the phone a few months ago but it has been outside the US in some high humidity and was turned off since the last use. Thanks!
You are amazing! It didn't work the first few times, but on the second time through it worked as I massaged the phone. Everything seems to be working perfectly now. Thank you!
None of them worked, straight out the box wouldn’t turn on. I let it charge for an hour, still nothing. I can feel a vibration when I press the power button, and I hear a jingle when I go to charge it. But the screen won’t turn on, it has to be returned
So what do you if the home button only works sometimes? I can't force a restart without it working and without a screen, I can't tell if it's working. That started going wonky and then the screen was twitchy a few times, going dark. I rebooted after it came back, seemed to work fine, and now nothing will turn it on. It sounds and reacts like the screen is on, but you can't actually see anything. During the tap method, my flashlight came on because I obviously hit it with the screen dark. Help?
I saw your video from a friend's phone, so I needed to find you to tell you from my own account, THANK YOU! It worked! I started with step 2 afraid of restarting, but once I moved to step 1 it worked 🎉❤🥳
Had to run through a few steps, however eventually it worked! It was the tapping on the back that did it (i had already tried tapping and even swiping the front, but was till getting nothing - the back did it!) Thanks!
Thank you very much 😊 I was wrongly accused of spoiling my spouse Google phone because it went blank but ringing and not ring out, looking for how to make the phone work again I thought of looking for how and got to see your video, I followed your instructions and just at turning it on and not letting it go 😀 the phone turned on! hmmm what a relieve . Thank you very much for helping in turning the phone on again.
Tapping worked multiple times for me. needless to say my pixel4a went blank multiple times: sometimes after a fall and on other times, just like that. I always go back and do the tapping and also combination of 2-3 steps as suggested in this video..But today, the phone was safely parked inside my pank pocket and it just went blank.. trying these methods. has not worked so far.. Should I keep trying ?
Tapping worked for me! Bless you, many thanks! FYI, it went black when I had it out in deep cold (-10 F) but with a full battery. So maybe something inside got stiff or locked up. Odd that the freezer can also be a solution.
This seems crazy, but it worked so well! Thank you! The massage worked best. Seems to be working great now. Thank you. I thought I'd need a whole new phone ... again!
Did I just massage my phone and fixed it?? The on/off button wasn't working at all on my Pixel 4a but now it is after the tapping and the massage, wtf? Thanks!
My Pixel 4a went to 'black screen' and would not turn on, despite being fully charged. I tried tapping it and that brought it to life. The Black Screen has recurred a couple of times since and the same cure worked. I'm looking for advice on what might be loose inside - but cannot find anything, but came across this video - which is helpful for me to know that it is not an uncommon problem.
You are genious. The massaging method revived my wifes pixel 4a. It did not turn on, charge or react to diagnose devices at the repair store. The guy there told to throw it away. Thanks
OMG man you saved my pixel thank you so much ❤ I just try all the methods of restarting but when i do the massages and fingure taps it not respond and i leave my phone and looking at it and suddenly Google logo appers it it got turned on 😊❤
My problem is a bit weird but similar. The phone turns on randomly but then turns off immediately. My phone is fully charged and in the time that its on it works fine except theirs random lines across the screens that are almost transparent but still visible, and a small green tint. The weird part is that some of these steps do work but I have no way of telling for how long it will stay on before it will turn back off. The first time this happened it stayed off for about a day but a few times later the screen stayed black for a week. I've tried many different steps but nothing ever actually fixes the bug, just turns it on temporarily. I'm thinking on getting it checked out but just wanna make sure theirs nothing I or you could do about it.
My phone slipped out of my hand and fell like 2 feet onto the floor, looked completely undamaged except the screen wouldn't turn on. It was still vibrating normally though so it was clearly still on. I was scared but the tap method actually worked. So strange. (glad to have it working though haha)
Hey Guys, on my Google pixel 4a 5g, the phone sensor stopped responding to touch, and only the volume and lock buttons work. I tried to reset it, it didn't help, I also did a sensor calibration with zero result. Articles about problems with the sensor also caused a zero reaction in accordance with the instructions, safe mode did not help either. Most likely, it's because of the update... Can u help me?
My issues is that my phone was working fine. I turned it off, now it won't charge or turn on but it was at 100% battery. Is there any other way for me to fix it ?
I went for a run and it was dry then it began pouring sleet so I turned and went home. I took off screen protector, the wet case, dried off my phone with a soft cloth and soon after it said liquid or debris in usb. It would tell me when the usb was safe to use. It did but soon after said liquid or debris in the usb. The screen went a green tinge then a green line down the right side. Then I checked apps and when I went into one I could not swipe it up to get rid of it and I could not swipe down the area to put on flashlight or internet. Then 15 minutes later it switched off and would not come back on. I have let it dry. I tried the switching on the phone using the press down on power button. Nothing but then I heard on one attempt you are onto emergency services if you don’t want emergency services hang up. I had to press power button again a lot to get it to stop. The screen the whole time stayed black, so it powered up but screen stayed black. I dried it, press dried it with paper towel. Tried the tapping, the hitting off my palm. Nothing yet 😞
My screen on Pixel 4a broken shows nothing but I hear my alarms go off. I have new 4a all apps transferred but I need my pics from old phone. How do I get them did they backup to file in Google docs how did u get them all 😭
Can't believe these methods and comments, what a service you have done for so many people and it wasn't technical or difficult. Some methods made me laugh, almost treating it like a baby with the massaging :)
I did this and repeated the steps over and over again. What finally did it was to plug the phone into a charger (when I knew it was 'on' - screen still black) and after an hour or so, turn the charger off on the wall. Seconds later the screen lit up and it was as if nothing ever happened. A lot had happened however. All stress related! So now I have a brand new Samsung. It can sit in waiting until next time...
What worked for me was putting it in the refrigerator. The previous time it was in a boot loop and I managed to stop it by tapping the screen. Not sure this will be the last time... Thanks for the tips!
Thank you! I replaced my phone screen on my Pixel 4a 5g & there was a dead space in the bottom right segment of the screen. I reapplied double new adhesive and used much more pressure then followed this method. Doesn't work perfect but better than buying another replacement screen.
Actually if your screen starts flickering for few days, then the display is damaged. By following the steps shown in the video, my phone got the display working for 1 day more.. after that it fully went dark and it was a display issue (because I dropped the phone before week). I changed the display, now my phone is fine.
Screen came back after finishing in the freezer all on the 1st try. But it showed the no command screen. I manually selected the reboot option, the Google logo showed up, and then black screen again... 2nd time in the freezer after all the steps again it was showing nothing but after the reset the logo appeared! Then black screen... Will try again tomorrow it's 2am wish me luck
I dropped it for about a 1 feet from the floor facing the front screen and it started working again . I’m guessing there is a cable that had gotten loose or something .
pressing the phone did the job for my screen (after it was dropped off and the screen was flashing black and then weird noisy colors in between). Thanks
This is such a weird issue that has been happening intermittently on my phone for over a week. I think if none of these methods work I'm gonna get it fixed under warranty
Sorry my English is not really good. I have a problem with my Google pixel 4a. The screen got black and then I see the "G" and it's constantly loading. I am scared that I loose all my data and pictures... What can I do 😔😔
I never had this problem with my pixel 3 why is it happening with the new pixel 4 that I just got I guess it's time to trade it in again is it happening with the pixel 5 that's about to come out
So with all that smacking and all the other similar related techniques, basically what you're saying is that there's probably a loose connection inside that needs to be properly connected. So what I'm thinking is that if the connection is loose and you start smacking it around it will probably somewhat reconnect temporarily but it won't be reconnected the way it should be and this procedure is probably going to have to be done many times. So I'm with you on the first technique but all those after that it's like that's one technique there's a slap technique so basically the headline for this video should be the two methods for powering up your phone and not six even though I get it for SEO purposes and for ranking your video but that's not fair
Not really his fault though, this model phone has been known to have issues with the screen being improperly connected when they're brand new. Google is not doing adequate QA
Wow I didn’t expect a massage would help a phone up and running but it got the job done. I guess even a phone needs a massage to keep running lol. Anyway this trick helped my phone back and running from black screen
I just brought it on black friday and turn on it show the Google logo and black screen forever, even when I hold another 30 second and it won't show the Google logo
It worked! , Thank you! Took screen protector and cover off, plugged in to charge and it still wouldn't turn on, until I held that power button longer!
