Have you ever had a dream that you um you had you you would you could you would do you would you want you you could do so you you do you could you you want you want you want him to do you so much you could do anything?
but at 50 percent its reasonable youre expecting 7-8 hours of SOT. And thats exactly what my 11pro max gets, a phone that was bought for 1200 bucks. This is 699 and is way smaller so it has a way smaller battery, and its at 90hz, where the iphone isn't. So this is pretty good when you compare it to my 11promax
LOL hate to admit it but i logged 7 hours today! Beautiful fall day and I'm inside with the blackout curtains watching RU-vid! EDIT: just caught TWOW reference ... I don't want to watch RU-vid, I NEED to
@@topspot4834 damn, I was logging 12 hours some days before I leaving twitter and picking up my books again, I remember getting 5 hours at the beginning of quarantine and that was terrifying, 7 - 9 - 12 is so frustrating! *Now it's 2 - 4 hours…
One more reason they should make a flagship phone is for marketing purpose. When it’s not a flagship, it’s not as cool or as excited as it should be. So the media also don’t have the exciting headlines for their Pixel 5 content which results in perceivably a boring phone. I just wish Google made a ‘Pixel 5 Pro’ or whatever so that people can see clearly how advanced Google can be when they want to make a phone.
@@The-Heart-Will-Testify google has the software, where does Sony hardware come that’s unique or special? Nothing... if you want hardware go to Samsung or Huawei.
i bought a Moto G Power instead of this phone because of the battery life... I regret it so much! My phone is sooooooo slow. I think I'll switch to the Pixel 6 when it comes out.
I’m not going to lie, I have been watching MKBHD for over 6 years and when he said that, I had to do a double take. Never heard him curse before, and even when it’s this minor, I was like wait what haha
@@HenryThe12 I could've sworn that I've heard him say "shit" before but I can't remember the specific video but yeah in a way it's oddly refreshing to hear Marques swearing lol
The pixel 5 is an absolutely amazing phone, even amidst 2022, it still takes amazing photos and has a beautiful screen with absolutely tiny bezels. Truly an excellent phone
@@onlyvik Exactly. Been think a while of switching from 3 to 5 and the speakers are the only reason I hesitated. But I'm swtiching anyway 'cause everything else's just so good.
Really everything is getting more expensive; just look at cars, and especially trucks. A decently equipped f-150 10 years ago would’ve been like 40-50k at the most; now they’re more like 70-80k...
I know it! I just upgraded from my pixel 2 to the 5 yesterday and the camera is essentially the same. But the software is just better. Imagine if the camera was NOT 4 years old... Wouldn't even be a competition.
@@luke_mckay How do you like the all around experience of the phone in comparison to be the pixel 2? I have a pixel 2xl and am looking at going the pixel 5 route. Appreciate your help!
You just need to swipe left, it's basically another page on the home screen, that's why I still love my (capacitive + clicky) home button with gestures
So to sum up the video, Pixel 6 needs; - Larger Camera Sensor - Better Haptics - Better Stereo Speakers - Pixel Neural Core for Image Processing. - 120hz display.
By then I think all brands will be merging toward 60w or more fast charging and 240hz screens, or just stick around 120hz based off battery consumption Maybe apple will make an extra environmental leap by actually moving to USB C. Who knows 🤷
Yup! The stereo speakers were a dealbreaker for me. I will wait another year. Rumors are saying pixel 6 may have a 8 core processor made by google. Also, I hope they upgrade their camera hardware. They’re definitely in the right steps!
I love the Pixel 3 standard size. The wide-angle front camera, front-facing speakers, fantastic camera, great build quality. Sure the screen isn't corner to corner but who really cares, I prefer front-facing speakers.
@@SiamHossain7 I dont really have battery issues. And it charges pretty fast. If I know I'm going out at night, I'll pop it on the charger as I shower and it's good to go.
Saaaame! I also love the dual cameras on front of Pixel 3. It's just a perfect phone for me all-around so I'm sad that they did away with the front-facing speakers
@Junior, because this isn't Apple or Samsung with a bunch of iSheep to cry over it. This is sadly only backed by enthusiasts and the boring ass marketing of Google (which is surprisingly sh*t for an ad company 😂🤣)
@@nikhilpaleti3872 tbf, the sell spots for ads, they don’t actually make the ads for the companies buying the spots. But still, they have way too much money to not have an OP marketing team
2:25 Classic Fingerprint reader on the back which also doubles as notification pull down from anywhere in the phone. Best feature to have in today big size phones.
I have a 4a and I do like the back fingerprint reader but I think the power button is the best place But I say that as a right handed person. Sorry to my left handed bros. On the 4a (and probably the 5 is no different) I do think it's just a touch too high up. Just a touch. But I enjoy this phone way now than I should considering I have a note 20 ultra lol
@@MarioGiustizia one the OnePlus 8 the power button is slightly lower right in the perfect spot, with a mute/vibrate/volume on switch above it and the volume toggles on the left side I like the button setup way better. My fiancé was supposed to get a replacement 3xl from asurion but they accidentally sent her a 4xl and we ofc kept it because when life gives you lemons you know what to do, so I sorta know about the pixel 4 button location
I think it’s really a missed opportunity for Apple not to have an 120Hz Display at least in their Pro iPhone 12 Models this year But yeah the People will still going to buy those...
@Tech J 37 Refresh rate is totally different from what you are saying...It's not about performance...simply It's about how fast your screen updates with your input.... That's why I call iphone users are dump...🤣🤣🤣
@@D45Z same it's great but im getting and s20fe in Australia its $350 cheaper $999-1349 and expandable storgae 120hz etc I cant being myself to spend the extra and the nail on the coffin xbox game pass streaming and cloud gaming it's disappointing that they don't have 120hz on their iphone otherwise I'd go iphone.
@@joeymeyer2045 it doesn’t take a genius to understand that a 60hz iPhone will feel smoother than pretty much any 60hz Android phone, and Marques has commented on this in a video he made like last week lmao I think the point here is that iPhones feel so smooth that I think there’d be little point in adding a high refresh rate display. I understand the difference between 60hz and 144hz because that’s my monitor’s refresh rate, but on a phone it just seems like a waste of battery life when the iPhone is already so good
I actually really like the way this phone looks. I miss my pixel, I switched to an iPhone 11 from a pixel 3 and I kind of regret it. I love stock Android.
Its really a fantastic idea to comment on a popular youtuber's video so that people get to know your channel. Jokes apart, i'll sub to you man. Great channel!!!!
I love this phone so much, it's so simple, nice, clean. Exactly what you need, nothing more nothing less. I love how it's not racing for specs, even the look of it has something soothing about it.

Great review. You're the tech reviewer that I would be most likely to name drop when talking about a new peice of tech with a friend or family member. Your reviews are just on point all of the time.
@Marques I am big fan of your reviews. Here are few pointers that I noted in using pixel5 with ATT for two weeks. Cons : 1) Its need a hardware update for sure , watching tiktok or playing a game for 60 mins make the phone hot ball. Same is case when I am setting up the phone initially and copying data from old pixel to new. 2) Post clicking a camera it's asking me to hold still for almost 5 to 10 sec , specifically on night or portrait mode. Processing of picture immediately after clicking is also lagging. Pros : 1) camera clicks are real amazing 2) perfect hand fit 3) Display is really good and with great battery.
I pre-ordered this phone the day after it was announced, because: - Stock android - Its not huge (I have fairly small hands) - more than 60hz display - its not a
Nice video! This was really helpful since I'm looking for a refurbished/used phone that's a couple years old. I'm happy to see someone who looks like me giving a review too.
5-10 years from now: "We can't really expect the best from a thousand dollar phone, it's not really trying to be a flagship, because it's not priced as one" 😭Rip phone prices
Damn man, I hate it when tech reviewers give a free pass to companies who make exorbitant priced phones. I don't care that it's the best of the best. Is there 200$ worth of new materials on that phone? That's a definite no. It's all just a margin of profit that the upper management takes home. They (especially marques) say that the higher-priced flagship phones make the lower end phones better. That is simply not true. Anyone who has used a lower-priced and mid-range phone knows that the difference in hardware and user experience is huge. The increase in the flagship price just makes good quality phones harder to afford by the average people.
They priced it as such because people keep buying them. If people stop buying these overpriced phones then they'd have no choice but to lower it down. I'm pretty happy with mid-ranged devices. I can never convince myself to spend thousands of dollars for just a phone, even if I can afford it.
@@thatguynar agreed. Stupid people not comprehending their actions on a large scale. They won't understand anything until buying one of them makes a huge dent in their bank account. Until then, they won't care.
I’ve been following you for a while now and I’ve never seen this mentioned - I know it’s off the wall - but your adjectives, intonation, and sentence structure are so calming and easy to listen to! Sometimes I just listen to your voice in the back ground. Thanks!
I'm on a Pixel 3 and it is still running very well. Really feels like Google nailed the 3 (aside from the price). Front facing stereo speakers, no notch or punch out, solid camera, and great software.
I ordered the Pixel 5, my Pixel 3 is starting to show it's age. Battery especially, is where I find the 3 to be lacking. Hoping with just about 40% more battery the 5 will last me at least another 2.5 years.
And I gotta say, compared to previous years vaccines, this one does what you want it to do, nothing flashy. Compared to previous years $1000 dollar flagship vaccine, this one takes a step down and embraces it’s lower-tiered vaccine counterparts.
Hey Marques, I just wanna thank you for uploading all your content in 4K. I didn’t realise the difference before but now that I have a 4K tv I watch all your videos on it and it’s just lovely. I know it must be extra work to make all videos in 4K but keep up the good work and we love you .
I like Google's software approach! It's so much easier to update software. The fact that Google chose to support better processing software on same old sensor makes me feel confident that if I buy a pixel 5 now, my photos are still guaranteed to be good for many years down the line. Google is not treating their past models as throwaways to keep up with latest hardware technology. That's how I felt about my Pixel 2. Constantly gets excited by new UI/features of the camera app.
