Phone looks great. I don't understand why they insist on putting lower rated cameras in their most expensive device. It's the thing keeping me from buying.

Lower quality camera and chipset on par with SD 888, and they have the audacity to charge $1800 as if they on Samsungs level. If this came with top level specs maybe, as is no it’s mid ranged and nobody spends premiums on midrange devices.

I played with this at the Google store in NYC on Sat and then walked down the street to the Samsung store to test Fold 6. I must admit the Fold 6 feels much more usable, higher quality and better to handle in person! - Google Fold just feels so awkward to look at and hold with left side bezel in person...

Main cam sensor on this is 1/2.0" which is by FAR the smallest sensor even across other foldables. If youre buying this for the camera youre going to be disappointed.
As a five year galaxy z fold owner, I can honestly to say that no one outside of fold owners truly care about phone reviews. Just last week in I was in a restaurant in Williamsburg VA and had my Z fold 4 on he table and the waiter literally said he'd never seen a fold phone before and for five years that's the extent of every conversation I have about a my device. Which brings me to the conclusion that phone fold reviews videos are only for one kind of audience....... pretentious show offs 😂
I was going to jump from iPhone to this phone. However after seeing the pixel ‘pro’ fold gets the worse cameras and the front display from the standard pixel 9 and not the 9 pro for $1800 it’s a hard no for me.
The crease is very evident …but we expect that so no need to try and mask it during these unboxings. As long as the prices are high…it will limit the number of units they sell.

@@Bigbook91 the Z Fold 6 isn't being billed as a "Pro" (or "Ultra") device. This is. The UDC on the inside of the Z Fold is great for video calls, which is all it'll ever be used for. While it's not being used you get a clean, uninterrupted canvas with no glaring hole punch.

Damn that camera hump is unnecessary large for no reason. We all know the cameras aren't that "Pro" either. Gonna keep my Pixel Fold for a other year as the Pixel 10 will be the real upgrade imo.
Camera bump is 25% of the thickness of the phone. Just make the back half of the phone the thickness of the camera bump, have a flush back, and have a huge battery, tuck in a periscope telephoto, and have better cooling for the hot-running G4. Hilarious that they tried to minimize the visual height of the bump with the ring of white around the base of it. 3:05 man the hole punch in the inner display is jarring after having used a Z Fold 4 and 5 for the past two years. The uninterrupted canvas of the Z Fold with the UDC makes such a difference in immersion and is absolutely worth any tradeoff in camera quality given the only time you're using the inner camera is on video calls, in which the Z Fold's UDC still looks better than the average webcam in a video call. 4:50 I'm sorry but that hinge bezel is gross. The Z Fold 6 cover display/hinge is nearly bezel-less now and makes much better use of its footprint. The P9 Fold's hinge bezel looks like something from 2 generations ago.
They make it look less then it is. But it's almost as thick as the phone is unfolded. I'll take the thinner design cuz when it's folded that would be wayyyy too thick with a case on
@@BR3WCITYx I don't run a case on my Z Fold 5. It has held up perfectly fine over the past year despite not taking any particular care of it. They're durable. If anything, a thin aramid case is sufficient. If you're putting a chunky case on it then it's irrelevant whether the phone is a few mm thinner, anyway.
Definitely doesnt look good in white with those bezels so the Obsidian and black case would be the way to go. That camera arrangement is awful. Very unstable on a table surface. I guess it was a design trade-off to get thr device this thin. I got thrr pixel 9 pro xl this yr. Hopefully next yrs foldable will have the matching top cameras and arrangement and ill bite!
$1800? The battery is smaller than the 9 and 9pro, cameras are worse, and it looks like they just cut a 9 in half and put it in a case. It's definitely not worth the cost.

Is it just me that the phone bare looks like it already has a case on when folded lol. I really would have considered the phone of not for that mediocre Tensor chip! They should have used at the very least the SD Gen 3 chip and just customized it for the AI stuff.

It's not worth that price. The outdated chipset will get worse year by year. AI is not everything. It needs to be a well-balanced performance in every way for that price range..😅
I know. It really bothers me. They should've went with something closer to the Z Fold style, in terms of not making the corners so rounded. Then they could've stretched the display much further into that bezel which would shrink the bezel and make both the inner and outer displays larger without really making the device larger.
Until they make and XL VERSION. I will stand on the sidelines... I have an s22 ultra, the biggest you can get in the candy bar phones...... Once they make the XL VERSION, I'll give up my MAYBACK ULTRA..... I WANT AN XL VERSION CLOSED
