just letting you know, although the spatial vents might let in some noise, they were intended to release some of the pressure created by inserting the buds into your ears
@@luchin777 OK so when I connect my buds and go I to settings, I max out bass and it sounds good. But when I put my buds back in the case and then take them back out the bass reverts back to the default. I have to go into bass setting and change it to max every time I connect. Another weird thing is the bass slider will say it's maxed but it's actually default.
Definitely out for me. I'm not sure why Google not only omitted any decent wireless codes (aptx, LDAC) but also took a step back with Bluetooth 5.0 when others are available with 5.1 and 5.2 which are more reliable and can shunt more data. Waiting until October to see what comes out with aptx Losseless. I love the description from one reviewer "like having your ears dug with a spoon"!
If I'm out and about town I don't want total noise cancellation anyway. Much safer to be aware of surroundings so you can't automatically say it's a con.
bro my music is so bassy as long as it has the freq response im happy. dig the review. would really like some more direct comparisons instead of just casually bringing it up.
Getting a pair of these for free with the pixel 6a was certainly a great deal, they are so comfortable compared with in ear buds I've used before. Sound is certainly good enough for me, I know for some that not having a means to physically alter the volume in them may be a frustration but I don't feel like I miss it, on other models it feels a bit fiddly so I would resort to using the phones volume rocker anyway. All in all a great pair of buds
I didn't get any free with my pixel 6a, so I plan to buy this earbuds. They say the "a" stands for affordable. But this is the most expensive phone I ever bought. And while I have money now, might as well I buy this earbuds, who knows when again in my life that I will have money like this.
Let's hope Google sorted out the constant audio disconnects that the Pixel buds 2 suffered, I owned a Pixel 2 phone too and every few minutes they would loose connection with my phone indoors outdoors and in the middle of nowhere, apart from that I really liked them and found them very comfortable to wear and I thought they sounded really okay, but with afore mentioned problem which google was very aware of and promised to fix with a firmware update it didn't help so back they went to the chocolate factory for a full refund. I'm hoping theses new ones have fixed the issue in which case I'll give them another whirl, thanks for the review
The pair I owned had a major flaw. They didn't work if you put your phone in your pocket. They just cut in and out constantly. When I would go for a walk, I would pop my AirPods in and get some tunes going on my iPhone X, then drop my phone in my back pocket. I never gave it a second thought. I recently switched to a Google Pixel 4a and Pixel Buds A Series. I start on a walk and drop the 4a in my pocket and the Buds just cut in and out constantly. They were unusable with the phone in my pocket. I went through Google support and they heard it on the call and would have replaced them. I chose instead to swap them at Best Buy. The second pair I got had the same flaw so I took them back as well and got the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro. They work great with my phone in my pocket! The Pixel Buds A Series have a serious flaw.
The last version had terrible connectivity issues. I know this review sounded favorable but the verge said they were having connectivity issues on their review unit of the newer buds. But it does look like they're not going to have the headphone on the Pixel 6. If they release a pixel 6A and it's less expensive maybe. Pixel 4A and 4A5G have a headphone. At the Pixel 5 does not
Great review. Thanks for the Bud A-series feature breakdown. Question. Since my new occupation requires me to be in many meetings, do these buds have the ability to mute and unmute phone calls by a single tap on the buds?
If indeed the connection issues are resolved then I will be buying these pixel buds. I want to wait until they get to Amazon so I can return them if they suck! But I remember the last time some of these RU-vidrs said that there were no connection issues with drop issues on their initial reviews and then all of a sudden we had all these issues so I'll take them telling me that there are no drop issues with a grain of salt until I tried them for myself.
After spending £179 on the original Google Pixel Buds and after using them for over a year, I think they're barely worth £99 in terms of sound quality, no ANC, user experience and design.
I got them for free with my Pixel 6 yesterday. Was going to sell them on ebay but you made me thing different. Always enjoy your videos bald funny guy!
The same without wireless charging and volume swipe. A cheaper version for those who can't afford the premium version. I would buy this for the comfort but I already own the premium version
Do these connect with the Garmin 245 Music? I don't always carry my phone when I go on my short runs. My Plantronics Backbeat can play music from the Garmin
After losing a pixel bud earbud (the £179 version) and Google unable to provide a replacement, I opted for a pair of £30 Aukey wireless earbuds. I can't stress how much better the Aukeys are, in every way.
Currently the pixel buds series a and Nothing ear 1s are both available for 6k, which one should I go for? (Music and call quality are indeed my primary concerns), also I use an iphone 12 - so are the pixel buds a good purchase for an ios device?
Yes they work independently. You can have one in the case while one in the ear. When battery starts to get low just grab the other one in the case and put the low battery in the case to charge. Main difference is the volume control.
are the pixel buds loud or quiet? Planning to get them. I got so sorely dispapointed by sony wp800n, these sony buds are so so so quiet, though the sound quality is good ( I end up not using them and got myself Samsung buds live)
I actually found the ear fins didn’t work for me at all. I looked at Google recommendations, other people’s recommendations, but after a few months I cut my losses and started looking for other options.
I’ve gotta say, if I want an honest review without fluff I go to you and Flossy Carters videos. If neither of you like something it gets a hard pass from me.
@@justinvalentin8983 I've been going for bike rides but they're very early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Because where I live it's pretty hot and there's still a lot of people out. Waiting for this to pass. #notanforme
@@gidd as a civilian with work from home, Yes I'm on lockdown. Because of high population density there's a bunch of people on the road during normal hours for 'essentials'.
FYI his comment about the lacking bass is false. Default I agree, but there is a slider in the settings that is default set to very little bass, dragging it up, the bass in these are insane.
This is kind of outrageous that they can't get their earbuds to stay connected. I can buy $20 earbuds that always stay connected. It's such a shame too because I love the pixel phone and a good pair of pixel buds with good assistant integration could be great. But for some reason they can't get the basics right
@@narahitesh1341 Actually that is more argument that they will do exactly this. Like Apple buying Beats by Dre Not to mention, they've now "partnered" with Samsung for WearOS. We could get Samsung's superior Health and fitness apps. This could also possibly improve Wear OS's power efficiency
can anyone tell me what features are available for using these on an iPhone? does it still auto detect the earphone in your ear? skip track? put volume up and down? adaptive sound? thanks.
Is the white noise issue on super low or 0 volume with media playing still an issue on these similar to the pixel buds 2 ? I returned mine last year because of the same. There was a persistent static buzz at low volumes or even all the way down to 0 with music still playing on the phone or laptop.
Is it just me or did someone else's google assistant got activated at about 2:09 of the video? It does sound like "hey Google" and I repeated it and it went off again
I've had problems with Bluetooth on Xiaomi phones the max level is so quiet and theres no way to change it , ditched Xiaomis for a pixel 7 , won't go back because Bluetooth is unuseable
"Connection stayed strong and stable at all times" - excellent! "Even in a busy area like a high street" - great! "Or a school playground" - sweet! wait what
I have recently bought the google pixel A buds, I use it for running. Music keeps on pausing and playing randomly. Don't buy it. My $59 Verbatim earbuds work better than this.
