I am going on two weeks and I really like it. My last watch was a Ticwatch Pro. Really like the size, responsiveness, and the screen is very clear. Battery is a bit disappointing but I hope software updates will make it better.
Much the same here, the battery is tiny so I wouldn't expect much improvement from software updates. It charges extremely fast fortunately so I just pop it on charge during the day when I know I'm going to be at my desk for an hour or so.
Raise to wake always wastes battery I prefer aod instead saves battery for sure. I usually turn off notifications for apps that don’t really matter just health apps and messages that also helps.
Great, detailed review!! How is it with syncing with phone settings? If you put DND or bedtime mode on the phone does it turn those on the watch automatically?
Thank you. Turning on the DND and bedtime will not sync between the phone and the watch. You will need to turn it on for each one. I hope google pushes out this feature soon.
@@ghtechreview Hey dude, I actually meant next time you make a video, when you add a transition graphic like 2:19 that's an indicator that you also need to add an index point. In other words, Intro is too broad and instead e.g add "Watch bands" and 2:33 can be "Wear OS".
It's a good video. My reason for viewing today: I was looking for specific information, searching YT for it. I was looking for information on LTE and using the phone as a hotspot (which I have discovered you can't). Just FYI :)
Great video. I also had the bug with the step counter not showing on complication. It works if you do it from the phone app instead of straight from the watch. Also battery life isn't great but its better than my Apple watch series 7. The watch just got released so I have no doubt google will fix issues with future updates.
Thank you. I just tried it and it's not working for me if I do it from my phone. I tried it for a couple of watch faces and it didn't work. My work around is selecting stats and then selecting steps. You will have this option if you have Google fit installed on the watch which I do.
Until Google decides to shave off the curbside bezel of monstrous proportions and also offer a larger size, I'll stick with the Ticwatch. LTE also doesn't work in all regions
I got the LTE and it's been frustrating. I tried replying to a text while my phone was at home. The text wasn't sent. I also noticed that you have the LTE icon when you scroll down. I don't have that. I love Google and their products but this watch has become very frustrating. Please help.
You can leave LTE enabled. The watch will turn off the mobile network when there is a Bluetooth connection to the phone or Wi-Fi to save battery power.
I can't get this phone connected. I don't know what's wrong I tried every way when I was told to me I want to send it back I got pixel and I'm tired of trying I need help
Google needs to fix OS 3 before it makes its own watch. I'm not the only one that can say this or that notices it but the UI is made for a square watch not a round watch. OS 2 took advantage of the round circular face and scrolled it in a nice way accordingly so that it went with the curves of your circled watch but now when you scroll through menus you can clearly see that they are in rounded Corner boxes made for a square watch. The same thing goes for my fossil Gen 6. They didn't do anything to the UI to make it look better with that ridiculous black bezel either all they did was darken everything including trying to darken all of the watch faces so that you don't notice. But they really need to go back to the UI look of OS 2... the design of three is nice and minimalistic however it functions as it belongs on a square watch face
I really like pixel devices. But this watch is sad :/ I have been looking forward to a pixel watch for years...and this was a major let down. I'm going to switch to iOS, which is boring, but that apple watch ultra is beautiful.
@@Gold26502 oh I think the pixel watch is very good looking. It's just too small for my wrist. I've tried it in at best buy. I wish it was available in a larger size. I wish Google has released an apple watch 8 or Ultra competitor.
