This is clearly the most comprehensive Pixel Watch review! From battery life not necessarily being as bad as most people make it out to be and also 30 minutes to charge to 60% is really good too. You’re the only person that mentioned that you need 3 apps on iOS to get the most out of the Apple Watch. The complaint about the Pixel Watch “fragmentation” is also overstated.
That's because he's not an Apple loyalist He's able to actually point out the shortcomings of Apple unlike every other RU-vidr. Android has become a full-fledged ecosystem like iOS and anybody saying otherwise is literally a fanboy or girl!
Battery life is no worse than my Galaxy Watch4. Seems like a decent smart watch for a first generation device. Really enjoyed your balanced (pros cons) review to help us average consumers decide on a purchase decision. Good job!
Finally an unbiased pixel watch review. So many RU-vidrs want to hate this product so badly you can tell in their review. The battery life on the pixel watch is 100% 24-hour battery. The ecosystem is equal to Apples. The ease of use and fluidity is top tier. And the bezels are just as big as almost every other smart watch in 2022. The only downside is the phone quality! Great video and please keep up with the unbiased reviews You're actually making RU-vid a better place!
It’s okay, and first version so structured advice is what is called for. I want them to make a bigger one, with a bigger battery. That is it, basically the rest is a good start and should develop over time.
Been rocking the Pixel Watch since launch and Ive been loving it. After 6 years of waiting for a Pixel Watch its been nice to finally have it on my wrist
Great review.mate I love the watch. Im not worried about battery life because google will release software updates to improve it. It literally just came out. They'll definitely give us the option to not have the heart rate sensor check every second.
Exactly I don't know why people hate on Google so much, if there is a software problem Google will definitely fix it they've proven that too many times. And on top of that what other Android manufacturer gives this much fan service and updates.
I love my Pixel Watch. I use it to train for my next marathon. On Sundays I run 19 miles with music and have workout app on. And I have 38 percent when I get done. My only complaint is how terrible it is at sleep tracking. If I get up in the middle of the night to the restroom it thinks when I come back to bed is the time I started sleeping. However I 💕 my watch and totally recommend it. Also great review
Thank you very much for this amazing, comprehensive review! Very helpful without the need for self-serving theatrics. Just a straight-on review. Thank you!!
Amazing review as always! What's crazy is that Fossil was able to sync the DND after the wear OS update last month and Google can't do it between its own phone and watch!!
Awesome comprehensive review. That tip regarding notifications is something I hadn't seen anywhere. Really curious about battery life with GPS off. As someone who has my phone on me for workouts and doesn't need it on the watch I would be curious if it helps a little with the watches endurance.
The 2nd generation will be far more impressive. They'll make the Google Pixel Watch XL Version. Iron out those 1st gen kinks and get a bigger battery and bigger screen.
Something that people rarely say. I use the watch basically for notifications but I need a good haptics. How is the haptics here compared with galaxy watch 4, 5 and Apple Watch?
Great review, but only one day of battery? I use a GTR2 from Amazfit with wrist turn display, sleep tracking every day, heart rate whole day, Gym 4x a week (each session 1.5 hours) and 2x a week each time 3km of swimming (about 1 hour)....I need to charge every 10 days...with AOD around 4-5 days....GTR2 does all that I need (I know its not as fancy on the OS), it looks premium and has a great OLED display...Having my usage covered PLUS a very good battery life is a MUST for me at least. I just went to Thailand for 10 days (and did my workouts there as well). I charged my watch before the flight and had to charge it again on the day of going back. For 3-5 day trips I do not even bring a charger....Wearing a watch is about wearing it without worrying about it each and every day...Oh...I bought it btw May 2021 for 90 EUR!
Amazfit makes some solid fitness tracking wearable products for sure, but in the end, it’s all about what’s most appealing/important to each individual user. Glad you found the gadget that works best for your lifestyle!
@@TshakaArmstrong Absolutely agree! For me battery time is top of the list when my needed functions are covered. I need a smartwatch that I can wear for 10 days without worrying about it and when it is at 10% I still know it will last for the day. Thanks for your feedback!
It's a left over from mechanical watches where adding extra dials or bits of info (date, other time zones etc) would complicate the making of the watch
Please also cover versa 4 and sense 2, their downgrades with respect to local music control, music streaming apps, missing third party apps, no maps/wallet/assistant or even calling on launch
I'd be curious about the Blood Oxygen monitoring when the update comes out. Will it have on the spot checking like Fossil and Ticwatch models or will it follow prior Fitbits and only check during night time.
I have a 44 mm galaxy watch 4 but I luuuuuuuuv the way the pixel watch looks a lot more. I'm ready to switch but I'm concerned about the small size. Any thoughts?
Great review, as always! As a die-hard watch wearer myself, the aesthetics of what I wear on my wrist is important. Now, I'm aware that looks are very subjective, but I really don't like the pixel watch. Far too simplistic, not to mention, FAR too small! It looks like a kid's watch. What was Google thinking only making one size? And that price! Yeesh! No, thanks. I'll wait for round two!
Google needs to fix OS 3 before it makes its own watch. I'm not the only one that can say this or that notices it but the UI is made for a square watch not a round watch. OS 2 took advantage of the round circular face and scrolled it in a nice way accordingly so that it went with the curves of your circled watch but now when you scroll through menus you can clearly see that they are in rounded Corner boxes made for a square watch. The same thing goes for my fossil Gen 6. They didn't do anything to the UI to make it look better with that ridiculous black bezel either all they did was darken everything including trying to darken all of the watch faces so that you don't notice. But they really need to go back to the UI look of OS 2... the design of three is nice and minimalistic however it functions as it belongs on a square watch face
Great review, I have seen other where they just show the watch faces but nothing more, so it's good to see how things are done in the watch itself. I wish we could get this in Mexico.
It’s too small, the battery life sucks and having to sign up to Fitbit is ridiculous. What’s wrong with google fit? No wonder they were giving them away with 7 Pros. Can you imagine Apple ever having to do that.
💥💥 The pixel watch looks like a watch that if Apple was to make a round watch it looks too girlish for me. I saw a flossy Carter's video on this watch and it's like way too small they only got one size. I stick with my Galaxy watch 4 44mm
