This is excellent for someone who wants a refresher of various functions in Google Sheets. Please consider doing another video for absolute beginners and you explain it more slowly.

@@GivingIsMyGift Hi there. I have a pride in being able to explain things at any level. On the other hand it's something I work at not a talent I have. I'd love to hang out with you for some time and figure out what you need which will help me make something like that. I don't work for Google but I have found in my life that teaching something is an excellent way to learn it better. Right now, I'm again a beginner in making spreadsheets. Of course I think I understand all the concepts but applying them is something specific. I don't know how we'll figure out how to connect since Google insulates these things so well, but willingness provides opportunity. Reddit might be a good way, with private messages.

Tiffany, thank you for your feedback! in web version, you can modify the speed of the video. Use Settings (bottom right corner of the video window) -> Select the Playback speed

@@coupleracademy THe speed of the video is not the issue. It is the glossing over of concepts such as "pulling the data from the next cell after 12" when referring to another sheet. You did not explain what this means or why it happens. It's just something you said and I have rewound that part multiple times to try to understand what you mean by that.

@@coupleracademy You can modify the speed on an Android device as well. You touch the three dots in the upper right hand corner and they give you choices. Myself, I often listen to things at faster speeds. It helps me pay attention so that my mind doesn't wander. On the other hand, if I need to think things over as the person is speaking, or if the accent is difficult for me, I can -and do- listen at 0.75. If I miss a word, then go back and listen again and miss it again, I also use the speed button to replay that section. That almost always works for me.

I'm new to spreadsheets altogether so came into this as a TRUE beginner. Tightly packed with information, really amazing and extremely helpful. But found it EXTREMELY fast for this older user (in my 60s) and had to pause and rewind many times throughout. Also, there were a numer of times where the actions illustrated visually took place a second or two BEFORE the verbal instructinos were made, which I found difficult to process- I would have preferred the verbal instruciton first, followed by the visual illustration- that 1-2 seconds made a big difference. Appreciated the subtitles as well, because it helped me to hear and process the information more effectively. Thanks!

Its a lot of clear information at a fast pace. I'm experienced with excel and had some difficulty following along due to the volume shared. I'd label the title differently.

OMG. I really loved this. I'm super new to this whole Googlesheets and Excel stuff. This stuff looks intimidating as hell haha. I don't have a solid understanding, but after taking notes on paper and trying out the drills on my Googlesheet, I feel like I learned an amount. Thanks for the educational video :)

that's great. Happy you've liked it. In other Google Sheets videos you can find practice sheets drafts with data to try new functions yourself. Just copy the file and use it while watching the video. Find the drafts in video descriptions.

This video was fantastic - I took it to an AARP group and everyone ended up comfortable using excel after listening only a few times. The only ask they had was: since English is not your first language (but yours is very good), slow down rather than speed up to make sure you clearly pronounce all of the syllables needed for comprehension. For example, it is BUTTun (not bottom), FEELD (not filled), AWEtomatic (Not OW-to-matic), comMAND (not comment) -- and pay attention to your stresses. For example, is FOR-mat (not formint), SEE-kwnece (not sickens), LOCK (not log), pa-REN-thuh-sees (not parathesis) etc. Maybe small things, but it would have made a difference to the older audience, which I'm imagining is yours. Thanks again for this video

Hello, I found this video very helpful and it is a good start for me. I am a writer and was looking to use something like this to categorize sections of my story (lore, characters, et cetera) into a simple to use file that I can reference at any point. My question is can anyone recommend a video/article that might help me with developing that? (For example, the best type of layout or template) Thanks again for the tips, much appreciated. Take care
