If you want to use images in your Google Drive, here's the solution I've come up with (with help from Google Forums) to make it to where you don't have to do it one at a time. First step is getting all your images in a Google Drive folder. If you name them correctly (by player name, or team logo name or whatever) it really helps in the next step. Next, you install the Photo Gallery By Awesome Table add-on. This add-on then goes into your Google Drive folder where your images are and retrieves every one of them and gives you a table of the Image IDs. You then use this formula to retrieve the image of each Image ID. =IMAGE("docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id="&A2) (A2 is the cell where you are putting the IMage ID) At this point, you have to now manually put the name of each player or logo next to the image, but this saves HOURS from having to manually insert each image, if you have a lot of images to index. After I've done that, I use vlookup or something similar to make it to where each time I have that team name (in the case of team logos) or player photo, it will be able to automatically select from that list.

If the name of each image in the Google Drive folder matches the information in your data set where you can tie the image to the occasion, you can also use Google Apps Script to have an automated image collation/assignment process. For example, if you know you are assigning an image for each player and date, you can include the date and player name in the image name, and use those identifiers to tie the image to the player-date combination once it's brought in via the Apps Script.
