Create a preliminary site in Revit based on a Google (or other) satellite image. Find an image of your site, create a png file, import into Revit and scale appropriately. Keep in mind this is not a substitute for good civil engineering information, but it is enough to allow you to start some preliminary design work. (There is a plug in that automates this procedure, but this is the DIY - free - method.)

This is schematic. He says so in the video. If you want an accurate site plan pay a civil engineer firm $$$. If you’re in schematic design, you can use this method to give your project some context.

BuildingTopos From Sketchup to Revit: After I hit the "select region", make the selected area as small as possible and hit "grab" it just goes back to the unselected region. And I have to close the popup window to proceed. I have tried multiple times in different locations. Any suggestions? I have sketchup pro 8

Instead of that print screen thing, use the snip it tool in windows :)

Very nice, but civil 3d software make it of a easy way, and with the topograph real.

If the screen capture is at X' = 50 ft., do you adjust the Revit scale at the bottom left in the Revit window to the same scale? I noticed during the video that it was at 1'": 40'
