just for clarification so the accepted organizations proposes the project idea list and then we can select a project we want to work on based on that we should write proposal and submit to the mentor if our proposal gets selected we work on the project for the give timeline and submit it and receive a stipend ? is this the process
I recently got to know about the 2024 GSOC, and I would like to give it a try. But I was a bit confused about "get reviewed by mentor" . I mean I just registered and want to submit the proposal, but how can I get a mentor? and at 5:20 cant i select org now?
You can select an org now. The only issue is you haven't contributed to the repo. So it's difficult for you to write a proposal. If you had contributed you could have contacted the mentor. Mentors are generally people who review PRs. You can see who are the mentors for a given project and approach them once
