thanks so much!!!! I got confused totally by gsuite, google admin, google workspace, etc now I finally understand the changes, new naming convention, etc
Thanks for your time and teaching about Google Workspace, but one's again not what I was looking for. Even though this was one of the most straight forward video about the matter, you didn't have in mind the people that are buying a domain for the first time while applying for Google workspace, let me tell you the process is very different from having one already in place. I seen already more than five video and they all had their domain name ready to go....
I wish you described briefly the benefits and uses of google workspace- that is what I was expecting to get out of it. Great info on how to set it up - but mine is already set up.
Excellent tutorials. Your videos are most helpful. If I can make one suggestion? Would you be kind enough to enlarge the size of the mouse pointer on the screen and make it red or blue for future tutorials, so it's easier to follow along visually? Thank you!
I'm sure it is all ME. But in spite of your brilliant tutorial I'm still having a hard time to setup my google domain workspace. Can you lend a one-one-one helping hand?
Thank you for the useful tutorial. I'm a teacher, thinking to shift to Google Workspace for my lessons and student management. Are my students considered as users or can I add them under another name?
Glad it was helpful! Yes they will be users. However, they may not need an account each. They can still simply upload, collaborate and engage with your one account using their personal gmail.
I stopped in the middle of the set up process. Now that I have come back to looking at it a few weeks later, I am not sure if I have successfully verified my domain name. Is there an easy way to check that I completed that step in the process?
@@amyparibello2905 if you purchased your domain through Google. Head over to your admin account and see that you have completed the setup process. If you have you will be able to send and receive emails. If you still cannot than I suggest talking with the Google live chat support through your admin account, and ask them for support.
Great video! Question: how do I unlink my personal gmail address to stop receiving those emails into the same GSuite account & mailbox I have for my business?
Hi Stewart, I'm looking to create a Google workspace for the entire company, I already have my users of my business created. But how can I create a Workspace user for Just my business (Entity)?, possibly adding it as a new user (for the entire company)?
While looking for Google WorkSpace, I can watch the video, but because of my terrible disabilitys I need help, with completing the entire process! How can someone provide assistance?
Hi mate! No, this is different. Once you create a Google Workspace account and start using your new gmail, you can migrate your emails from your free gmail to paid gmail in Google Workspace. I hope that helps!
Hi Stewart. Love your tutorials. I have taken over the admin for our Google Workspace recently and need to assign a current email address from one employee who has left to the new employee. Is this possible? I need to keep all the email history.
Another question: if I select 2-9 users, do I pay per user that I add? Or is there a fixed 12 usd charge for that package? Or done pay for all 9 users upfront and add them as I go along?
Hi Stewart..thanks for the great video. Do you have any videos/tutorials on MX records configuration on workspace and migration of old emails from email clients like outlook into workspace emails? I'd really appreciate something on these. Thanks
Hey I’m sorry if this sounds really grumpy, just trying to give honest negative feedback though. Nothing personal. This video was just so unhelpful for me. Maybe it helped other people and that’s fine but my in my experience it was just way too slow and too simple. I could’ve figured all of that out myself just by trying you know what I mean… From this kind of video I was hoping to get quick, practice insights that I couldn’t just guess by walking myself through a pretty self-explanatory sign-up process. Again, just my opinion and not intending to be rude, just an in satisfied viewer trying to give informative and constructive feedback. Thanks
I have to agree there. Okay so we set up users. You don't even explain what you can do within the product. Why stop at what most people could probably figure out to do themselves. Do you have any more videos on how to use it?
I have this problem and I'm not sure if google workspace is the best solution for it. We have a company email that everyone has access to, we want to change that so that the ceo can select who has access to each individual email, can it be done using google workspace?
brilliant video stewart! i have a really big issue. recently my admin has changed and now i only renewed my google workspace only yesterday and all my domain email adresses are intact. but i cant seem to fuind gmail. i also is coming from gsuite time. google worksplace enterprise edition doenst have gmail ?? i cant seem to find this on the dashboard or the apps at all? help i need to log into my emails.. any help would be much obliged and appreciated!
As an admin, when we added a new user. Did we also have to pay again, like if we choose the basic one it's $4,20 for one user (us) so if we add another user we have to pay to Google again or not?
Hi Stewart do you have a video that would be good to share as an overview of Google workspace for teams? We are already set up and I don't need this much details. Thanks
I am a teacher...To take online classes if I purchase this...then will the students be considered as participants (they can join with free gmail account ) or I have to add students as users and pay for each account Per student
Hi mate, Participants for? If you want them to join your organisation, then they would need to join. However, if you mean for joining you on apps like Google Meet, Drive, docs etc then no they can use there free gmail or other email.
Hi Stewart, Great video, very helpful. I see in one of comments below that it is possible to migrate additional free gmail accounts over to workspace. Do they then become paid accounts or are they alias accounts?
Hi mate, You can basically, create accounts through Google Workspace and then import your mail, contacts and folders from your free gmail to your paid gmail.
What if I sign up for the free trial and after two weeks, did not pay? Will I be able to pay later, let's say, two months hence, and still use what I had created e.g., domain, users etc.? Also, if this is for an educational institution, would the students be considered under your users or just those people employed to the school?
You will be asked to upgrade following the period and will not be able to use Google Workspace until you have processed your first payment. You would only setup accounts/users for your staff.
@@StewartGauld OK. I understand not being able to use it until.payment is made. Expected. I just wanted to know that I would not lose the domain name, and emails I created, etc. Thanks With regards to the other users, does that mean I can just create emails for students and there is no limit?
Google multiplies the subscription charge by the number of inputted users, correct? I didn't hear you mention this when explaining how to add users. I want to add additional users for my account, but instead to avoid the extra charge, I am simply adding aliases to my one user account. If this isn't necessary, let me know!
Yes that is correct. If you have a small team and they each need their own emails, then yes you will need to purchase multiple user accounts. However, if it is just you behind the emails then you can just have one account and add as many alias as you like. You can also send and receive emails with the Alias, we have a tutorial to help you set that up. Cheers!
Help, please, I want to move my email from zoho to Gsuite, as I'm getting some strange errors on random emails. I tried to open an account but can't get started because all my email domains are in use. I want to set them up and point dns to Gsuite, but can't get past this point.
@@StewartGauld our emails are through hostgator and we’re currently gmailifying them, but we’re getting blocked a lot from our customer’s and vendor’s servers
Stewart, please help me here. As a small private school, if we select the 2-9 users under the Business Standard, so that our teachers and administrators can have personal emails in our domain, how do we get our students in? Can they use a regular Gmail account to access the Workspace apps that are under the school's domain?
Hey dude, Yes they sure can. All teachers will have an account. And all students can use their normal (free) gmail to access your documents and other apps.
So we hav business standard plan but when I try to add new user it say 25 limit has been cross..why this?? From where I'll learn what's the limit n how I can use more user apart from those 25,my second question is my company name has been changed..so do I hav to tak new license n domain or I can add domain n keep old one as well ??plz reply
Hello, I am still in G Suite. Due to circumstances, how do I record a meeting in Google Meet while still staying at G Suite without going to the trouble of involving Google Workspace? Thank you
Excellent video! Stewart, do you know where I can find information on migrating the current email service from, say Microsoft Exchange, to Google Workspace? I have found some information on Google support but it's all very confusing and it doesn't address questions like: what happens to the original email accounts once I create the exact same accounts on G Workspace? Do I need to export/save my email, contacts, and calendar data from the old system before setting up G Workspace? etc. If you could point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
Hi mate! You can check out this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KhV14pOiP2Q.html It is the same process with all other email clients not just gmail to gmail. I hope that helps!
Thanks for the video Stewart! I want to change my Essential account to a Business account but it won't let me because the domain name I want to use for the Business account is already in use for the Essentials account. It says i can remove my domain from the Essentials account but it won't work unless i have another domain linked first. Should I just delete the Essential account to solve this or will I lose my data?? Any tips would be very appreciated!
Hi Peter, That is odd, you should be able to simply upgrade from your account. Get in touch with the Google Workspace team and they will solve this for you.
Hi Stewart, i was testing the new email for my domain (Info@...) so i sent an test email to myself. I expected to find my new message as Info@... instead it came in my name how do i change that. The system says i cannot change it. I want the display to info@... and not my name.
@@StewartGauld I'm still having a bit of trouble. I've verified the domain. It's only me as a user in the company right now. So nobody to add yet. Am I good to go to send mail from this email? What if people still email my old gmail.com email. Will it get pushed over to my domain email?
Hi Stewart. Thank you for a very informative tutorial. I have two mailboxes on my google workplace which are attached to my domain. If I want to add 3 more employees as contacts, do I need to give them all a separate email at my domain i.e. Users?
Glad it was helpful! If you want to add three more user to your account. Then they will have their own email correct. For example: user3@yourdomain.com, user4@yourdomain.com etc.
