The song is about divorce.... it expresses a woman's journey as she tells how she has set off towards the darkness.... the heart-breaking part is that she has a lot of respect for her partner as they both did their best to make it work

I first saw and heard Googoosh back in 1979 in the movie "The Long Night". Since then I like her and her songs. Farsi is a very melodic language. I worked in Iran for several years and I still have the warmest feelings about this country and the Iranians.
Today's Iran is unfortunately what it was prior to 1979 and has been hijacked by a terrorist theocratic oppresive regime. The government in Iran has no qualms to torture, execute and even rape the very Iranians in the Iranian prisons, killing peaceful protesters and even shooting down civilians airliner, so on and so forth, hijacking and abducting Iranians abroad , killing them or bringing them into Iran and execute them, that is obviously terrorism. I started listing to Googosh, since I was in elementary school in Iraq, all Iraqis like Googoosh, and she was invited with other Iranians singers, like Star, Nasrin ..etc to visit Iraq back the end of 70's for the Independence Day celebrations, she was interviewed and sang on Iraqi TV program, it was such a unique time.❤
