Goose Follows Little Girl Home | The Dodo 

She was very likely raised by a human and then dumped at a pond. Birds, raised by humans, do not flourish in the wild.

Always so funny when an animal shows up somewhere and goes "I live here now" and all the humans just go "Yeah, fair enough, welcome home."

What a unique friendship. I am so impressed with Abi’s intelligence and loving bond with Gumbo.

Gumbo heard a little girl was need of a goose. And she just happened to be in the market for a little girl. Worked out perfectly ❤😂

This goose was someone's pet that was abandoned or lost. She was lucky to find this family to love her.

Odds are she was a human imprint gosling that was abandoned by her humans at some point. I lost my 23 yr. old white chinese gander "Marwyn", a year ago Nov. He was a rescue from a local wildlife group that didn't handle domestics and as a volunteer with other geese I adopted him as an estimated, week old gosling. He was my constant companion for all those years, always preferring my company over my other geese. Geese are incredibly smart, easily learn their names, simple commands and phrases They also have amazing long term memories and when raised from goslings bond with you as much or more than a dog or any other animal.

You can tell the little girl learned to speak lovingly so her parents must have taught her that by example. How nice.

The little girl's voice reminds me of Little Misfortune and I absolutely love it. Also, I love the connection these two have. Adorable❤

As a Canadian that's only had experience with our native geese.... This goose seems like a unicorn, it's incredibly precious, and I doubt I'll ever see one in my life 😂

That goose is probably more fiercely protective of that child than a dog would be. Really sweet relationship they have.

I pray that these two sweethearts are the best of friends for many years to come I'm not sure how long the goose will live for but I do hope it's a long time and these two precious souls stays friends till the goose gets very old and dies of old age bless both thier hearts 💕

Gosh, is there anything more innocent than childhood at that age? I love seeing the anomalies in nature, such as this pairing of a girl and her goose. They just belong to one another.
