Wisconsinite here, I've heard from multiple people that many restaurants in Milwaukee will be refusing service to anyone from the RNC. Some are deliberately closing down during that time. Pretty bold political statement, that's a lot of money to turn down. Gives me faith that WI will be blue in November.

Businesses started advertising that they would be closed the days they thought the RNC wanted to be at their establishment or rent it out. The RNC backed out of the reservations. I live in Tennessee, and my governor just passed a "prayer and fasting" bill. I was furious this morning because there are too many things governors should be helping with, not deciding on when I should eat and pray. I'll do those things when I feel my body needs to eat because I have chronic conditions that make it hard to eat anyway, and when Jesus wants me to pray I will pray on my own time, which is basically all the time anyway. I love Jesus! And I DESPISE politicians passing religious bills!! That's not what America is about!!! I'm cautiously glad that WI seems to be getting their heads out of the sand. I just hope I can convince my family to believe me with these issues, since they're conservative but they're not evil and they're for democracy, they just think I'm paranoid and dramatic and naive, I guess since I'm not 30 years old yet and the youngest in my family... Sorry for the word salad, I'm just infuriated by bad politics and policies and had to vent.

Norwegian onlooker here, it seems to me that the reaction after Biden not having the best debate night has been a bit over the top. On one hand, I appreciate the ability and readiness of the Democrats to be realistic about the possibility of their candidate not being up to the task, it is a stark and refreshing contrast to the cult behavior of the GQP. But the near-hysteria after one off night for Biden was a tad surprising. And the media's focus on Biden's poor night while hardly mentioning trump's terrible night of blatant vile lying and avoiding answering questions, is just shameful! I'm hoping most of the audience were sensible enough to see what was going on, especially that the undecided didn't let themselves be bewitched by trump's arrogant lies. I'm honestly baffled that there still are undecided people out there. They must be considerably under-informed to not see clearly that trump is in every way possible a ruinous and horrible choice. The Biden administration's accomplishments speaks for itself. But even more: everything trump speaks for itself! And folks, if you still are undecided; look up the Project 2025.

I grew up right after the Korean war, watched the Cuban missile crises play out, went into the army during the Vietnam war and I've never seen anything like what's going on now. My dad and my uncles fought in WW2 and I've been friends with a few WW2 vetrans and hearing what the germans did then and reading to newspapers my mom had saved from the war, we are at a tipping point right now. If we dont do away with the current expression of the nazi party now it will probably be to late to stop them. According to the letter released by President Biden's doctor, he has neuropathy in his feet. Neuropathy can make it difficult to move properly. The letter also said he shows no signs of other neuro issues such as stroke or parkinson. At age 81 I would think he would also have arthritis.
