Derek, not sure if still active but great video. I worked for a composite manufacturer and rather than using the plumbers tape (PTFE) i actually took a piece of woven Kevlar wrapped around manifold (RTV used as well). It seems to have sealed nicely and can handle the temp, along with the oils and vapor better. Might be of interest for you to try down the road.
The brand True Blue pipe thread compound for gas piping threads is better it drys hard like cement. The true blue comes in a can with a applicator brush connected to the lid. For the exhaust that would work good probably if it drys enough before you ride or if you let it dry to the touch and then let the goped idle until it's hot to dry it quicker and let it sit and cool.
Im wondering if i should have bought a goped with an exhast alredy installed or if its better to just learn how to install one so i know before i get one that has it on it? I just started gopeding last week and i have a gen 2 goped sport zenoah lh version. I havent done any work on it yet. It already has an upgraded air filter and v stack. Whats the first thing that should be upgraded as a beginner?
Derek, how are you going, I wanted to ask you is it very necessary that have that space minimum between the manifold and the pipe or can I do ake a manifold precise between for the tube pipe?
Good sealing my friend but the gasket was clearly restricting the flow top and bottom! The gasket should of been shaped to match the manifold. Air flow most important dude.
Nicely done! This helped me big time! I just installed my jetpro and it was leaking so I watched your videos, got the rtv silicone and teflon tape waited 24 hours and bam! Couldn't be happier! Thank you, sir! I'll try to make this short and sweet... I have a gtr46r (Jetpro rhino, 8/76 gearing, ADA air filter w/ velocity stack) any recommendations to get my top speed way up there while still having decent all around acceleration? Your advice would be highly valued and appreciated!
leonard washington Thanks glad This video was able to help ya out. As for gearing you can't have the best of both worlds as these scooters don't have gears however four a good all around gearing I'd recommend 8/68 or 9/76
I noticed u said u use blue locktite.what kind is it like the superglue or like the silicone.what is it and can u tell me cuz I wanna use it so my ped doesn't leak stuff everywhere
no tuning video yet. but it will vary from area to area. as temperature, elevation, etc changes so its kind of hard to make a tuning video that will work for all.
At 15:23, what are the dimensions of this bolt? You were right, i lost mine while riding and will need a replacement. Any idea where to order a replacement as well?
Awesome video. Any idea for the best gearing for a GSR40 with exhausted Jetpro Rhino pipe. head kit, HP carb w/ juicebox. I use mine as a fast sitdown scooter for better mobility. I will not be standing and kicking to start. Thanks.
Thank you! Once I get my pipe mounted I'm going for 8/76. The scooter is already fairly fast but I need to have startup power and a easy 30mph would be nice. Thanks again for the video and information.
+Joseph Anzalone I seal all my gaskets with high temp RTV silicone. Also I regular detaill and clean my goped after every big race weekend and big ride weekend. This keeps your go-ped super clean and looking great.
+Joseph Anzalone It won't melt it will burn up over time. This is not a permeant fix by any means. But does help out and work better than anything else I have tried.
ronald valdes I believe the crusier doesn't have rear brakes. and the gsr46r does. but i may be wrong. its been awhile since i looked at the cruiser frame.
