I did a full service on my friend's Goped Riot. He gave it to me because the chain and sprocket were rubbing on the tire, and chewing it up, but it needed a lot more attention than that. I lubed all the cables, adjusted the head bearing and brakes. I touched up some of the paint. I repaired his bent chain, and got his frozen suspension moving. I shimmed his rear wheel to get the sprocket off tire, and line up with the drive sprocket. I also replaced his fuel tank bolts with stainless steel, and I nutted the spacers in place so that they stay put when you take the gas tank off.
These things are really fun to work on. The only thing you really have to watch it for is that they are a mix of metric and imperial fasteners. It's good to take notes and write down what size wrenches you need.
