Hello, it is now June 15...wonder if you can give us an update on how your project worked? It looks to me that it should work extremely well. imo you deployed the stations are the best time...im guessing you had to refill them sometime along the way? Around here the babies are getting big now and you can really see the damage they create in the areas that were never "serviced" in the spring...thanks for your update.
Hi, the concept works , you can see they have been running in an out , there is gopher poop in the station and the bait is moved around. I am not convinced however that the uptake of the gopher bait poison is all that great. I will know a little better when I spray that field next week if the ground is less alive with gophers than last year. I would say the stations were a success however I have my doubts on the poison. One change I would make is to only have the vertical tube one foot tall instead of two. It will save a bit of money . The capacity of two feet tall isn't required unless you could get them to eat more. I did refill but they didn't eat it all on the first go around. I will be building more for next year and look at different options for poison. The thing I like about the stations is they are working while you aren't there. Thanks for watching !
