No not a horse. Lions tigers and bears oh my? Maybe a week old kitten? Crocodile? Peter from family guy? Enormous prehistoric dragon and / or dragonfly? Endless possibilities await. You might also want a time machine because you're going to be eating dinosaurs and unicorns if they don't comply with your majestic flying requests. The only eligible horse is obviously pegasus without a doubt.
I'm kazakh and I want to say "thank you" GoPro team for making this video that describes the national heritage of our wealthy culture. That's awesome. Thank you alot, again! C:
tox 1c the blood is the same he mean.. we lived together since the Hun Empire. The real race is Turk. Only some have simply emigrated to anatolia etc..
@@pxpq I actually do :) But only 6% of my DNA is tied to Centra Asia. Also 2% to Mongolia. However I think it’s because I’m very mixed. I bet there are Turkish people with higher DNA percentages
I couldn't agree more. I love the videos about the bonds some humans have developed with wild animals. Be it an apex predator or prey, its incredible to watch. Especially with animals that have become endangered because i honestly think that if everyone were to watch these videos, it would open up their minds to how incredibly mistaken these animals are and they would see the raw beauty, emotion, personality, and the love they can show to us.
Amazing. Truly fascinating. People are able to live in a harmonious relationship with eagles who help them hunt. I've heard of eagle hunters, but this is amazing. Throughout history, dogs were a fierce source of hunting and retrieving. I never thought of birds as practical. Then I took a second look at the eagle. Extraordinary. Humans all around the world were so very connected to nature before they connected to the internet. Now only a precious few even speak about the world around them with such respect. I have so much respect for these people.
"Humans are connected to nature before they are connected to the internet" great quotes. I've always wanted to connect to the nature but sadly i live in the City . I've never even saw people catching fish. The only way to get through it is by playing farming games like stardew valley
It never ceases to amaze me the ability of humans and animals to form special bonds with each other as demonstrated by the tradition of Mongolians and Kazakhs symbiotic relationship with eagles, their horses, and other animals. It's a testimony of how we must strive to always be good stewards of nature's inhabitants for their benefit and ours.
The only reason that mankind keeps a dog as a "domestic pet" is because, back in the day, that dog would help put food on the table. Years later, it's a very different story. Now, imagine if you'd have suggested back then "Yeah, your dog's pretty good but, I'm thinking something like a Golden Eagle would be far better at helping catch dinner", surely everyone would have laughed? You can imagine the comments of "Yeah, go ahead...catch and train a predator like that. Then get it to choose to live in a symbiotic relationship with you". These people are next level!! We're living in cities with dogs as pets that we no longer rely upon for food and these guys are out there living in a harmonious relationship with what are, essentially, dinosaur like predators. This has got to be some of the coolest sh*t I've ever seen!
Ancient Kazakhs used to hunt with eagles and dogs, riding horses. Now they hunt with rifles driving ATVs. I'm glad there are people who's still keeping and passing on these wonderful traditions of ours!
Nurbek Khassenov real talk, soon everyone will simply use satellite guided lasers or robots to hunt their prey..smh very lil integrity or honor amongst us, really though.
@@batukaganbat6093 THANKS MONGOLIA FOR SAVING OUR CULTURE AND TRADITIONS))) and also great respect for not oppressing us and letting to study our own Kazakh language in schools!!!
This is one of the best traditions in the world. It’s majestic and true to Nature. I hope it continues throughout generations to come. Great Job, Go-Pro!
(To the comment about do the hunting yourself) These animals hunt to survive...they do that already, so it’s not like they are USING the animal. They are simply sharing respect and responsibility between one another. They even specify that you must give them their freedom. If these animals didn’t share that mutual respect, then they would fly off...never to be seen again. There is a beautiful relationship to be had between animals and humans when an animal has been given respect and obviously, this is proof of that.
@@melclyde8803 i dont know how they do it but in the US wild caught raptors are usually used to hunt with for a few years till they hit maturity (80-90% of wild raptors dont live to see their 2nd year) and are then released back out into the wild nice and healthy to make the next generation and the falconer catches a new bird to repeat the cycle also there are many different ways of animal conservation and animals arent humans so u cant put human feelings or logic onto them
The way they hook you, show you the eagle hunters' culture and traditions, and then show you the most satisfying footage of a perfect hunt. We need more video's like this on RU-vid.
So amazing! Incredible to see my fellow Indigenous Peoples' traditions are still valued across the world. 👌 gave me chills to see that eagle swoop down. GoPro, we need more films like this!!!!
id like to say thankyou to gopro for making these excellent short stories/documentaries, the cinematography, presentation and editing ect is superb! its promoting and raising the bar in the way we film things to capture moments that would otherwise have been missed to the naked eye, thankyou gopro and crew for sponsoring/and/or making this and others like it, love your work and cant wait to see more in the future!
For me as a documentary maker i feel this is the most beautiful production i have ever seen on RU-vid.....Lanscapes which make you feel you are immersed inside a cowboy film location......eagles which swoop down for miles to catch a fox....the GoPro camera placement and editing was super.Music dreamy.....what a fantastic production......
Before we were connected to wifi and the Internet, you would have had no idea that these Eagle Hunters even existed. We are even more connected to the rest of the world now.
Amazing!!! Amazingly interesting and amazingly beautifully filmed. I'm watching this on my 55" Samsung UHD tv. You must see this on a big screen. Amazing, amazing!!! And also very amazing! A thousand thumbs up!
I read a article a few days ago about the French military using golden eagles to take down drones in no fly zones. If these eagle hunters are willing to export their practice, I'm sure their traditions could flourish elsewhere.
Andre F "eagle" take down a drone! ? you idiot the eagle in the story you were reading was probably f- 16 eagle " jet " you dufus! not litterally an eagle
A really beautiful documentary! Really liked the way they allowed the people to speak for themselves and leave room for audiences to interpret by themselves.
My genes are from this nation. Maybe 200yrs ago. I cant. My blood freezing, and eyes crying.thank you, this movie is amazing. And my heart freezing,my heart know,my nation is the so powerful with birds. All days all birds still flying to me😄😄 i am living in big city.🙂but all lost birds, flying to my random.this is the mystery of our nation😌💝this is so beautiful.thank you.
I wish the younger generation would appreciate and take up eagle hunting to keep the way alive :/ you men are the last of a legendary dieing breed. It's amazing what you do ❤
Geez dude honestly I would kill to do this stuff and I’m not even a teenager yet,it amazes me how people can have such strong relationships with such majestic animals
Such beautiful birds. I am a little sad that the tradition is starting to fade, I just hope it never really dies out. I knew a man once who was doing this same thing with Falcons. Very interesting video, thanks!
Incredible!!! Wonderful!!! Great photography, audio, video!!! Thank you very much!!! I love golden eagles!!! So exciting to see something great on other side of world!!!

Must take years of dedication and devotion to understand and communicate with such magnificent animals. I could only dream of living alongside a warrior of the sky.
I still couldn't see the fox the eagle saw on my second viewing. What eyes! Love those colored fabrics inside the tents. Quite a change from the dreary landscape.
Qazaqs. Their direct ancestors are the first humans to domesticate dog, horse (botai), big and small cattle and of course eagles. The civilization as we know it today has started in their vast lands, spreading throughout Altai, Mongolia, Qazaqstan, Ural, Russia, Eastern Europe to Iran, China and India!
@Or ka i mean , i am Kazakh and i know what I'm talking about . Kazakh are Turks as you say and it's correct . But it's incorrect to spell it Kazak. Cause in Kazakh (Russian)"Қазақ - Казах", Kazak "Казак-Казак" . They're different . And in English it's spelled as Kazakh , Kazaks are different
i first heard about hunting with hawks and eagles from a book i read way back in the day but i thought it was just story so im super stoked to see that ppl actually do this in real life its so badass
