Probably the best tutorial I have ever watched. What I mean by that, it's clear you have the knowledge down and you have an incredible way of explaining in a very thorough way while still keeping it easy to follow. Every teacher/proffesor should learn from you how to give over information. Thank you! Really helped me as I just ordered a GoPro and needed some help learning the basics and more. Immediate sub!
Thank you SO much for doing this! Your videos are ALWAYS so timely, helpful, clear, concise and informative! Also LOVE the addition of chapters for ease of review later on! Manufacturers should absolutely directly compensate you for doing what they don’t seem to have the ability to do. Many, many thanks!
I move to Oahu tomorrow and am purchasing this. Don’t know anything about tech or how to make good youtube videos so this 40 yr. old will learn here! Thx!😅😅
Thank you for taking the time to make this video, I just received my GoPro 11 Black today, first GoPro I've owned so this was very helpful and at a pace I could keep up with!
I just bought my first GoPro. A hero 11 Black. I’m not at all happy being forced to download the “Quik” app on my PHONE to use the camera. Evidently as of mid ‘23 the app is no longer compatible with ANY COMPUTER! PC or MAC. Wonderful. This means I am forced to edit on my tiny phone screen using my finger guided cursor. Great. After all who needs to try to produce a quality video using a computer with mouse for precise editing. Grand. So much for my plans to produce quality videos. Thanks GoPro. WHAT a smooth move! Had I known about all this I would have NEVER bought a GoPro!
Thank you so much for speaking slowly while explaining things. Some of the other go pro instruction videos. The speaker is speaking so quickly that I can't absorb what they're saying. I've only watched a part of your first video but just wanted to say thank you. Thank you thank you. I am brand new to go pro and have my first hero 11 black. And I'm so excited to start using it.
You have an Outstanding voice > very easy to understand & very professionally done video and extremely informative. Thank you for putting this content > out on RU-vid.
Thanks for the information is clear, but once in a while need to stop. It is a bit faster sometimes. I just got Hero 11 and learning base in your info again thanks
Great info, thanks! Can I make one suggestion, please move the GoPro closer to and center it in front of the camera that is doing the recording. Thanks again!
Your pacing is great. Some tutorial videos go so fast listeners have to pause constantly to catch up. You go slow enough listeners new to the technology can follow. Things that seem simple to instructors can take awhile for listeners to absorb. I'm glad you went through "easy" mode before rushing to "pro" mode.
I have been watching your GoPro Videos from years and they don’t disappoint every time.😎 I have very excited to by my First Go Pro after years what’s your recommendation ?
Awesome tutorial and so helpful for a Go Pro beginner like me. I’ve been overwhelmed with it. Where do you get the thumbscrew for screwing the camera into the mount? It didn’t come with the Hero 11, I don’t think? Thanks once again.
Need a video about what you can do with your Gopro. How to do creative mounts, best settings for a time lapse, etc. Those are what I struggled with when I first got my Hero 7 a few years ago. Not sure we need more videos on how to install the battery when it's been the same since the Hero 8, lol
Thanks a lot. Clear and easy. About the waterproof case, does it compromise the audio quality dramatically? Or it is still okish for non professional users. Cheers
Great video! I don’t have a GoPro, but I’m looking for an action camera. I can’t decide which action camera I want do buy. I’m deciding between a GoPro Hero 11 or DJI Action 3. Are you planning to buy the DJI Action 3 and making videos about it as well?
I was originally but I canceled my order. I think I am going to skip it this year. I still really like my Action 2. Action 3 doesn't really bring anything new that I am interested in. But I may still get it, my curiosity will get the better of me lol
Any advice on how to preview the gopro hero11 video using Power Director 365 without it being all jerky and choppy. I have searched the internet and tried everything.
Great video, can you please comment about GoPro 10/11 live stream to RU-vid because I'm trying to live stream to RU-vid from GoPro app but there's no option at all for RU-vid live stream,if you would comment I'd appreciate that.
It’s kind of a hard question to answer of course the 11 will overheat in some situation as all action cameras. But it hasn’t been limiting to me as of yet even a few days ago I recorded a 45 minute video at 4K 30 and no issue.
Only to update the firmware. But after that, you don't need it. And even for firmware if you don't want to update with a smartphone you can always do it manually. There are instructions on the GoPro website.
great video! I have a question Im getting a gopro hero 11. Im also getting a SD card and a hand holder to hold my camera to vlog. Will that be good enough for my start to record videos and all?
Indeed you can always add as you go. Some accessories are more useful than others depending on how you will use your GoPro. As you go along to you will find what other accessories will be helpful to you
How long does the battery last full charge? Also I'm trying to record a volleyball game with gopro what zoom should I have it to get a full court shot? Thank you
Depending where you have a Mounted, most likely wide will get most of the court in. You could try Hyperview, but you will get a fair amount of distortion as for battery time it’s really hard to say exactly because there are so many different variables. What kind of stabilization you’re using resolution etc. etc. but it is safe to say well over an hour and you can really extend it if you, turn off some features. Turn off GPS and the front screen. If you have the camera mounted, you don’t need to have stabilization on all these things will help extend the life of the battery as well. If you do have it mounted on the tripod filming the game, you could always plug a power bank into it and give yourself extended power you can record while the GoPro is constantly being charged. Go pros Volta handle is great for this type of scenario.
@@AirPhotography thank you very much yes my go pro will be on a tripod I will use it for about an hour today. This is my first time using a go pro I want to start getting into recording stuff on the go. I appreciate your help!
Very nice guide Shawn! Although I have used GoPro cameras for many years, looking at your guides is very much appreciated. I get a lot of reminders about features I don't use much. But when you show the MediaMod I have to ask if you have experienced or heard of anyone else having problems with the GoPro (10 in my case) locking up/freezing when using it with the MediaMod? Often it is not possible to turn it on, but there are also times when it cannot be turned off when you have started filming. The only solution is to take it out of MediaMod and pull out the battery and put it back. Then everything works again. This error occurs with varying frequency. From 5th turn-ons to 30th. When I had contact with the support and wanted to test filming without MediaMod to see what causes the error to occur, it was significantly less frequent without MediaMod than with. So GoPro sent a brand new MediaMod... now I've been using it for a few months and still pretty much the same problem. I have then also taken the opportunity to switch between different batteries (original) but it is roughly the same. So I have to contact GoPro support again. On my GoPro 8 this can also happen, without Mediamod... but much less often. Several Swedish GoPro users I spoke to have experienced the same problem. The biggest irritation is that it takes a little time to take it apart with MediaMod on and hand grip. In the middle of when you just want to film something. Please note that I only wish to convey this to you, and if you have noticed or heard any of it. Not that you should act as extra support. Finally, I just want to say one thing about Voltan together with MediaMod. It feels like these are not really compatible with each other in terms of connection. If you use the Voltan without the MediaMod, the connector goes much deeper into the GoPro, and it connects with more stability . But if you connect the Voltan's connector to the MediaMod's USB input, it only connect in the metal part of the connector. Which I have experienced has broken in normal Gopro use due to the cable being so stiff that it twists the connector. Which meant that the metal part remained in MediaMod. It was no trouble from GoPro, they sent a new one, after I showed pictures and sent the Volta in. But it doesn't feel really well thought out, in the construction. It also takes some time to get the stuff, so you're without it for a while. Sorry for such a long post but wanted to take the opportunity to ease my heart to get some feedback how it works for everyone else.
I have had My hero 10 freeze/ stop recording while using the media mod, I have really determined if it is more frequent while using it compared to just using the GoPro by itself. Interesting to hear about this I am going to pay more attention to that. However, so far I have experienced no issues with the Hero 11 as of yet.
@@AirPhotography @Air Photography Thanks for your in-depth reply, very interesting if you highlight it on your channel. I've had my finger on the order button for a new GoPro 11 several weeks now, maybe that's a solution... 💰🤔
I recently got a GoPro 11 black I've noticed the battery starts to decrease pretty fast it also overheats filming at 5K within 10 minutes. Has anybody addressed this problem.
