Nice video bro...just got the 11 myself...tried the trails once...haha it was laughable as I tried it on twinkling lights.....it was all just a blur...then I shot using the paint on lights...again...just random and it too was a blur of light...haha...but hey I didn't practice or watch videos so at least I know what not to do...I'll mount it now to see if I can catch anything off my balcony.....thanks man..

Hello, I have the GoPro 12 Black, I tried a couple times and for some reason I only get one still picture and one half second video, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I’m letting it run for 5 minutes to test it but that’s all I get, I have the settings pretty much the way you have it. Thanks

The three examples were really helpful! 🙏 I think long looks better. I haven't used the Star Trails mode yet since i live in a city but now i have it all set up and looking forward to the next adventure🤘

Star Trails is the only new feature that has me interested. Maybe Light painting but that trend is over by 5 years now

How long do you have to record in order to get at least one second in the video? I am trying to record star trails and the video is not increasing in time from 00:00

Is the external battery from the volta necessary for the overnight photos taken during star trails.

2 questions. How do clouds affect this? Do they ruin the shot? Obviously the stars still need to be visible. And does it illuminate the foreground like a normal long exposure photo? I am wanting to get some vehicle shots with the star trails behind it.

You suggested the entire evening for recording. Do you have an idea of what the footage conversion might be? Meaning each finished second of video is how much time recorded? (Did the 10 second clips you show actually take 6 hours?)

my unit battery dies after about 1.5 hrs. ill try with an ext batt, BTW that 'music' is awful

Love the video - hope that mine will, one day, turn out just as well. But please, remove the music that drove me nuts.
