Excellent visualization. I appreciate your work. From your video, I found that there is no significant difference between 10 & 11 except in resolution. HyperSmooth 5.0 looks exactly the same as GoPro 10. So if anyone has GoPro 10 already then I would suggest them to not upgrade to GoPro 11. It's a waste of money.
Agreed, there is a noticeable different between the 9 and the 10/11 but there are only very minute subtle differences between the 10 and 11c, however not enough to warrant upgrading
I chose to upgrade because of the 8:7 format which increases vertical view significantly, auto boost option which takes out dilemma how much cropping vs stabilization you need plus 3 night modes is something I might play with and horizon lock - finally no need to use max lenses which had max 2.8k resolution and disabled 2/3 of GoPro functionality. I think for those alone it’s worth it.
You should also keep in mind that the cameras on the edges vibrates much more than the camera on the center. Because of this reason it may not be a fair comparison for image stabilisation.
GoPro 9 is okay but trending out, 11 has a few minor improvements but not enough to spend the money on. 10 is better than 9. 10 is my choice. However, if you have Hero 9, wait for Hero 12.
For me the hero 10 and hero 11 was just like a maximum update firmware of hero 9. They dont need to make a new series if they will just only upgrade a little specs
Thanks for making this video, I can tell you put a lot of work into it! I'm a newbie to GoPros and I'm considering the 9 for an upcoming trip, as it's more within my budget. Going to be using it for snorkeling, cycling but nothing too much. Hoping the 9 will suffice. Oh also, wherever you are it's beautiful!
Buy GoPro 7 still has more value for money, equal to GP9 , only difference in horizon levelling in GP9. But since you are newbie you would hardly need it
I don't want to have to mess around with colour grading and it's good to see the 11 having a much more natural tone. I would have upgraded from my 10 for that alone, but the extra dynamic range and wider FOV are great additions for me also as I use it chest mounted when mountain biking.
If u are buying first time a go pro just go straight to hero 11 because the hero 9 had lagging issues and hero 10 overheating too much. Hero 11 is like a maximum updated firmware of hero 9 for me because they are all actually same specs but thd horizom in hero 11 is so amazing. Even if you rotate the camera the position of your shoot is still intact
I have the Black 10 and after watching some comparisons and for my filming I'm sticking with the 10. Reason being the low night shooting has not improved and being I edit with iMovie, iMovie will only export 1080p or 4k, so anything above or 2.7K you can't use. The 10 is holding its value at $450 when the 11 is $500.
They are all great but for most people, that have a gopro 9 is cheaper and better to get a Max Lens Mode and the enduro battery than soend on a new gopro 11 or even 10.

Thanks for your exceptional work to compare the 3 series. Obviously GPH11 wins on the detail and the color also looks natural. I'm waiting for my GPH11 to come this week. Keep it up
Thanks for checking out the video! I’m filming my first full video with the gopro 11 later next week… I’m curious to see how it performs with my work flow
To be honest all 3 cameras are very similar in video quality. Don't think the 11 is a game changer. It's like all gopro have done is to change some software and hype the camera up just to release a new model
I just bought the 10 and still have much to learn as it's my first gopro. I was all set to buy the 9 but then found the 10 on sale for the same price and figured what the heck, might as well get it instead. I plan on using it for making tiktok vids and probably some other vlogging type stuff as well. Im heading to the Philippines in a week and ill be using it in the water so i picked up the handler floater stick and i also got 2 of the enduro batteries as well and a selfie stick. Im just discovering all the things this camera is capable of and I must say it's freaking amazing so far! This thing's gonna be so much fun 😊
Excellent video for sure. I'm still using the GoPro9 however been recording with a Sony ZV-E10. I used the GoPro9 today during my son's basketball game.
Hero11 is obviously just using h.265(=HEVC) Codex while in Hero9+10 I was able to make films in h.264 as well ! - In Wind10 you can see only h.264 BUT for h.265/HEVC you need first to buy a Codex for each Computer and your video-cutting software (like in my case Magix Pro X ) will also need an update to a professional licence before doing anything with h.265 !
Tbh there's not much difference in all of them slight contrast difference on 10 and 11 but not great. I have a go pro 9 and didn't upgrade to 10 as difference not much and looking at these stick with go pro 9 until go pro 12 comes out and see if any difference that's worth upgrading
I don’t notice a difference in stabilization (all excellent) but the 11 has much better image quality, particularly dynamic range. You can really see that in the sky.
Maybe this is useful to somebody: I was seeing a lot of compression artifacts. I was playing the video at 1080p as the monitor im watching on is only 1080p. However, when changing to 4K all compression artifacts disappeared.
I bought a 9 for $90 used off a local ad. I loved the 7 black but the 9 is better now including leveling. These are my go to video cameras for outdoor activities with my family. From walking on the beach , trail hiking or biking the stabilized footage just makes for so much better playback then my Sony RX100M5 that has better IQ but must be stabilized or on a tripod.
The 10 and 11 are the same when it is the sharpness and quality when compared with 9, for example the clarity of the clouds and the leaves. Colour on the 11 is different.
Wow!!! Your review is literally perfection and some thing I’ve been waiting for! Absolutely amazing job! I will also add that it was very professional! Keep up the good work!
weirdly i think the 10 has the better color,i like the reviews but i wish you could do some 'zooming' on the pictures itself to see the difference(sharpness) they all look very similar, thanks
Thanks for going to such efforts to test the stabilisation whilst walking, running & riding. I thought you were were going to come off your bike alongside the water front path, whilst riding with one hand. Thanks for your efforts. I was pleasantly surprised how well the Hero10 stood up against the Hero11. Keep the videos coming.
youtube is also compressing the videos right? so while you do a great job of explaining it, youtube is taking the quality down. I do love the colors from 11 though!! it realy makes a difference. Just bought a 9 yesterday, now I want the 12 :D Im not really sure if the 10 is better in low lights at night.. it flickers light on and of in your video when your moving while the other ones are smooth en consistend
The 9 looks good but you can see the color gets washed out by the sun a little compared to the 10 and 11. Not an issue here but I do wonder how much more pronounced that'd be skiing on a sunny day.
I just jumped from H7B to H11B which I'll primarily use for snowboarding. I can see the difference between the H9B and H11B which is a slight improvement. The colours and clarity look better in the H11B. If I had a H9 or a H10 I'd be happy with them and would bother with upgrade unless I had money to burn.
@@RedskullPro WHERE IS THIS? NOT A SINGLE PERSON, BUS,TRAIN OR AIRPLANE...NO DOGS OR CHILDREN.ITS SO QUIET AND NICE !!!!!!!!! NO SPRAY PAIN TAGS,OR TRASH!!!!!!!!! GREAT VID
How long do they film for 1 video? And does it keep recording, until the battery runs down? I have a body camera, and each video = 30 minutes. When the 30 minutes is up, I don't have to press anything, it keeps recording for another 30 min, until the battery is dead. Is GoPro like that too?
This is an awesome video. I wasn't sure how the image stabilization would look on these action cameras. Your video is marvelous in showing their capabilities. And of course, the comparison is invaluable.
If you love shooting RAW with no post-processing and just posting it on social media, you might choose the Hero 11, but if you are the person who does post-processing all the time, there's no difference. You can always adjust everything. GoPro Hero is awesome!
Yesterday none of them turned off when filming... the Gopro 10 that I typically use for ebike videos turns off after 25 minutes. I have to test them more...but they were super hot so I assume it will be the same
Don't see a major difference to be honest so I'm buying a GoPro 9 because why spend more money when you don't receive much benefit? GoPro should instead wait until they have something truly worth putting out there for an upgrade, but that's how businesses are. They need to keep producing something new to earn profits. Thanks for taking the time to create this video. After watching this is made me feel confident choosing the HERO 9. I can use the extra money I save for accessories.
Best camera for the money of the Hero series is the Hero 9 hands down. Regardless of newer models, or the barely noticeable difference in picture quality, they still overheat and shut down. That makes the DJI osmo action 3 the best bang for the buck with longer battery life and no overheating issue.
GP 9 for £250, 10 for £295 or 11 for £400. Basically my question is, would I get any benefits of paying the extra £45 for the 10 or even £150 for the 11? I don’t currently own one & never have, I want for blogging running & holidays.
I currently have 9 and after watching this video i think that not only stabilization is noticeable better on 11 compared to 9 but also image quality seems to be more clear/detailed as well. what do you guys think?
Thanks for the comparison. Too.much effort put in to this video. Really appreciate. I have the 9 and I think there is no need to upgrade while I appreciate the control of highlights on the 10. The color is also just enough than the more satursted 11....Thank you
Fantastic review! I was comparing the 10 and 11 as Costco has them on sale. I am particular about video quality and made the decision to go with the 11 from this video. Thanks!
The 11 always handles the sky the best in color. However, the 11 always looked more saturated than the 10 when looking at the colors on the ground and the rocks.
Thanks for the perfect videos? Do you think that upgrade from 10 to 11 is reasonable? In Hero 11 is there a possibility to shoot 2,7 K in 30 fps? Thank you in advanbe for respond.
To me it seems like the 11 has the slightly best picture . Couldn't see a difference about the stabilisation on the 10 and 11. To me the 10 's sound is not as good as the 9 and 11.
At this point you might as well wait and see what the gopro 12 will bring. Also a new camera from gopro’s main competitor is launching tomorrow. I have two videos coming tomorrow
