Hey guys... Any help here?? I plan to buy a gopro hero 8 for my motocross footage (helmit camera) and use my android phone for pics /small clips of the bike and wondered if its possible to merge the two sources of footage to produce a video that I can edit I.e trim, add music etc through the free gopro app for android phone? Also I'm 100% going to buy the book through amazon too so I can learn other useful tips but just wondered if what I mentioned above is touched on in the book?? Any feedback would be so much appreciated as I'm very new to video edits... Aidan.
GOT IT!! Sometimes we all hate reading through endless pages of an owner’s manual. Your video is like a quick start guide. I can enjoy my camera without having to study tons of material on it. This camera will be with me everywhere I go. My bundle pack came with two batteries, a memory card and a selfie tripod stick. Gonna have so much fun video taping my travels.. 🌎🌏🌍
the presentation makes want to buy about 2 of these!one for myself and one for my big brother, he wants to see if he can improve his kayaking technique and not waste energy since hes knackered after a day at sea!
Thank you so much. There are no instructions when one opened the new box and you have just made it so simple to understand and made it easier to set it up. I look forward to watching some of your other content to help me understand my GoPro. Thank you for this awesome video.
Jordan, I thank you so much for the time and energy you put towards creating this guide. You've saved me lots of time and headache. Thank you too for sharing links to sd cards, the much I can do is to support your channel with a purchase through your links. I'll also buy your book. Thank you so much and may the universe reward you immensely.
Just ordered the GoPro 8, I also both of your books on Kindle which I read on my iPad. Your video was great. Thank you! Please keep up the great work. I’m also a new subscriber.
Awesome great video very to the point exactly what I needed to know I just got one and I’m going on a cruise and I don’t want to have to not be able to know how to use it. Much appreciated. Thank you.🎉
Nice concise, no nonsense video. Took my GoPro 8 out of the cobwebs and relearned how to do this properly. The hints on the GoPro app were invaluable...not much of a tech geek but your commentary was well laid out and very understandable. Now onto a month long artist trip to Morocco. Hopefully I'll get it right!!
Thank you so much for the comment! I'm happy to hear that my tips helped you out and I'm sure you will get some beautiful footage. Have a great time in Morocco!
I’ve had mine for a couple years and need the help as well. Never could figure it out. Now I can. Considering the book as well. Even if I decide to upgrade, I never get rid of my old equipment and will use it until it falls apart.
great video thanks, just got my first ever GoPro. what would be good is if he did a video version of his book, i like the way he explains it all and i can pause and try it all and rewind etc.
Just watched this from Uganda. Great starter guide. Easy to follow and now my 8 Black makes more sense. My channel will see a lot of the 8 Black footage. Such a change from my Hero 2!
Watched you video...got lots of good instruction. Just got my Hero Black 8 and starting to use it. So far, so good. The drop down clip attachment is nice, but never had problems with the old mount arrangement, and it was quicker to attach/detach. Also would have like to have been able to use the Hero Black 5 camera bracket/case which cannot be used on the HB8, no screen protector, and can't be used in underwater case bought for the HB5.. Design flaw, or just something to make you buy more specialized accessories for the HB8.
What a great video! Thank you! I was so overwhelmed with my new camera and all its options. You really zeroed in on the important information to get started. I just got your book, too. I'm sure it will help me get comfortable with it quickly.
Very very interesting and helpful this video 👍👍👍😊😊 I got the go pro Today so I'm very happy whit the information becose I don't now Nothing about 😱 but thanks to you video I can start recording whit me go pro I'm so excited 🤗🤗🤩🤩 Thank you so much
Hi Jordan. Thanks for this video. I have purchased your book and will read it. I look forward to learning from your other videos and supporting your work however I can.
thanks bro my camera... is new a camera on my shelf... I no know a couple things about this thing... professional actor and comedian with a need to... fuck love being inspired and am frustrated as fuck at myself with my lack of knowledge of how to use the tech my inspiration is on fire
What’s the go with the shorter charging cord you spend big bucks for this camera and they short change you with a smaller cord so they can save on a tiny bit of copper wire,
Very cool. Question - Can you turn it on and leave it on all day and just press record when you want to record for a few minutes? Kind of like the Hero Session.
Hi Trevor. If you turn on Quikcapture (the little bunny icon on the settings dashboard), you can press the top Shutter Button when the camera is off to turn on the camera and start recording. When you press the button to stop recording, the camera will automatically turn off. I hope that's what you were looking for.
Hi MDK, If you still want to use Quik for Desktop, you can download it from GoPro's community pages. Just Google "Quik for Desktop" and the page should show up in the search. I hope that helps!
I have read that you can capture video while having the USB-C plugged into the GoPro (just won't charge at the same time). To do so, do you just take the access door off? Or leave it propped open on the cord jack?
