Bought the Hero 3+ Black Edition. I did notice soft focusing on the left side of image/video. Contacted GoPro they suggested a firmware update…Did not change things. Took back to original retailer and they exchanged. Camera performs perfect. Am not really a videographer, more of a still photographer, but I am loving this thing! Great Review.

It's really neat seeing something like this filmed in my hometown. Sparks stadium, anthem coffee, pioneer park, downtown Tacoma, way to go guys. This also really influenced my decision on which camera to get. Thank you!

I think this is the best comparison product video I've ever watched. I own a GoPro Hero 3 Black and regardless of the new Black +, what I really want as a GoPro improvement in the near future is a customizable shutter speed (50, 100, 500) and a manual exposure, or at least some presets (-2, +2) will be much helpful than sound quality or wifi range. Thank you for the comparison.

Excellent review, guys. I discovered this in doing research for rigging an in-car video recording setup for my 1993 Cadillac Allanté convertible, for driving tour captures. Like the review guys, and agree 100%. Bought the new 3+ two days ago and went on a 1 1/2 hour run the other day. Took video the whole way as well as picture every 10 seconds. When I finished the run still had 2 bars on the gopro. Huge improvement over my 3 which never lasted that long on any of my kayak trips.

Nice review fellas! I'll be shooting an adventure race soon and naturally I'm shopping for an upgrade to my GoPro HD Hero(1). Being a Sony (NEX-VG's & HDR's) guy I considered the AS15 package for $399., but already having many GoPro mounts (and versatile mounting ability), and the GP+ black's package @ $399., I've got to go GoPro based upon your review. Now all I got to do is figure more batteries and chargers and I'm set. Thanks guys!
