Dirt bikes have extremely short gearing with a relatively low top speed but almost endless torque. Couple that with ~220 lb weight of a modern 4 stroke and the skill of these guys and you have a winning combo. The pros plant that back wheel perfectly and accelerate at the appropriate time, too, so there's barely any wheel spin when you see it "jump" like that.

Since the bikes are geared so low he is really going as fast as the bike and the track will let him. He is constantly on the brake and clutch, hitting the rev limiter in the air and sliding into the berms. They make it look so effortless and even better when you only see the POV. Pros like Ken do everything for a reason and they rarely make mistakes.

yes it could be the right answer, but I'm still pretty sure that more light the sensor can take, the better, even if it reduces sharpness. Do you think they use Protune? Or just click and go settings?

gopro's aren't camera's for far distance quality.. it's way better for close range and stuff.. (no hating, i own a go pro myself) ^^

***** Actually GoPro's suffer in low light as any camera does. On a sunny day the quality is prefect but as you may have noticed, supercross is held at night. Not to mention the fact that the quality is drastically decreased by RU-vid so that we are able to stream it efficiently.
