I'm sure he could go a bit faster and with more flowing turns if he wanted, but we also have to consider that the first part of the run was on top of a glacier, with a lot of fresh snow and he set the first tracks. There are multiple hazards to take into consideration, and he demonstrated a lot of respect for his environment by the way he chose to ride the first part. I for one can admire that, over someone who carelessly charges into their own potential death. I've personally led people across glaciers before, and it is no joke, especially with this much new snowfall and no tracks.

@@danielwatson7257 Thank you. can't believe people still take it literally after all these years. Every entry has the same main title, which is the name of the competition itself - NOT this specific video.. And Doug Davis besides that, the entire run is steep, on a glacier, and he is setting the first tracks on +40 degree faces with lots of fresh snow. There are multiple hazards to consider, before you would ever get to any potential "just rip everything" part. This guy showed discipline and respect for his surroundings, which is both admirable and should be praised a lot more in today's world where most people only care about the shock and awe potential, but few people realize how much leads up to that sort of skiing.
