Get on the ball man. Giving up is easy to do. With guitar sometimes the improvements don't come quickly and it can seem discouraging at times but soon you will be looking back on a few months of practice and be amazed at the difference between your playing before and after. Have you ever tried out Justinguitar? It's a great channel on youtube with entirely free lessons from a great teacher and player. Good enough for Mark Knopfler and many others to recommend his lessons. Maybe try to find a good teacher in person if that is your style. I've been playing guitar for years but recently I have really dedicated myself to practice and improve my playing. Even with just a month or tow of consistent practice every day I have noticed a significant difference in my playing ability. Practice and patience man. That's what it takes. You'll get there if you stay in it for the long haul.

Why? Everyone learns at a different pace. Who knows? If you keep at it you might end up reaching a new plateau tomorrow. Let it inspire you not get you down, and keep rocking. You'll get there.

Don't give up, try to love music more than anyone ever did & show it to people It's just happened that this kid was around right people in early years, maybe you have to try to find this people to show your love to music, they will love it, not everyone, but if you sincere & you working on yourself someone will notice you & help you to show your love to everyone, just don't give up, even if you lost everything, never ever give up!!!!!!

This kid is some kind of savant. His dad said that he could see the fretboard instantly. I've been at Rocksmith for a year and I'm just discovering what this kid instinctively knew as soon as he picked up a guitar.

Just gotta do your own thing, no need to compare yourself. Although, I did have the same feeling when I watched a vid of this guy named estas tonne play, but the thing about guitar is that it always pulls you back. I love guitar, I wanna be good, don't care how long it'll take.
