Just some weebo not knowing that Goku is actually based on Chinese Wukong, and in fact Son Goku sounded like Sun Wukong, because it is exactly what it is, its just read in Japanese way. Those weebos though.
Son goku is how japanese pronounce sun wukong. Japanese has different way Pronouncing chinese names like lu bu=yo fu, cao cao =sou sou, li xin = hi shin
@@solitaryenjoyer411 Yeah, I know. I studied Japanese, but like I said, you gotta respect the original. Why not call it as it should be as in the novel, Journey to the West? The English version of it is also called "Wukong", not "Goku". And also Goku is obviously based on Wukong, not Hanuman--don't see the relevancy here. Either way, imagine talking about the myth of Hanuman and referring to it as Wukong. Or calling Goku, Wukong, in Dragon Ball Z. Or calling Hanuman, Goku. (That'd be crazy.) Wouldn't that be disrespectful? Shouldn't we treat them as who they rightfully are in their respective universe? I doubt anyone would defend the Chinese for it if they start calling every monkey king, Wukong. This is basically like saying all Asians or whites look the same. lol
I kinda like the English tranlation / dub on this one ngl. "Cleanse the world with blood, then plant lotuses in it" is a creative interpretation of "以霹雳之手段，现菩萨之心肠“ (With thunderous force, Enact the mercy of the Bodhisattva). Sounds more visceral and easier to understand.
