Thank you for sharing Gordy's story. This brought tears to my eyes, I really loved the little sweetie. Glad that I am able to still see him on RU-vid. I lost my black lab and didn't want another dog, but one day my friend Anita (RIP) brought a 5 month old pug over and I told her he was ugly. Well she knew better than me and I fell in love with him. He is now me and my husband's world☺☺☺☺
What a beautiful story pugmomma. I also thought pugs were ugly and now we have Hugo and boy what an experience now like you I want 2 more. I love my puggy and his big personality keeps me on my toes and love to cuddle him every day.

Such a wonderful story. Gordie was a beautiful pug puppy. We've had pugs for 50 years, 9 at one time. But when I saw my first pug back in 1974, I was smitten. Two little pug brothers in the pet store window just tugged at my heart. And like you, we knew nothing about pugs. But I knew that one of those pug puppies was coming home with me. And we named him Richard William. He lived to be 11 years old. And was just a wonderful companion. And that's what they were mainly bred for, companionship. Best breed ever. Such a sweet story! I used to think the same thing that pugs were ugly until I had my Mugsy! There’s just something about them that hooks your heart after you’ve owned one! I love watching your boys and I sure do miss Gordon 💙
You know Pugmama I felt the same way about pugs 30 some years back, I was buying some birds from a friend of mine in Sacramento, California and she raised championship pugs and probably had 12 of them, and I always thought they were so ugly. But look at me now I have 2 and they are so precious to me, I’m so glad they picked me as their human! Great little companions, I would not trade them for the world. Very precious story about Gordon and look where you’re at now with the 4th one! Dachshund's are much more wild (energetic) than the pugs huh? I'm looking for a chilled house dog that likes to cuddle up and is full of love. I don't have the ideal place for a Golden or Lab which is what I really want so I'm down to the Pug, King Charles cavalier and Basset Hound and also the Dachshund.
