Gordon Ramsay visits Peter's, where he witnesses a fight between the owners and a loan shark. Full Episodes from the Gordon Ramsay Back catalog. #GordonRamsay #Cooking #Food #KitchenNightmares
This isn't his first time dealing with crime groups. He nearly died when he was investigating a shark fin trading in Costa Rica. He was doused in gasoline and held at gunpoint.
31:37 : The bandana guy's reaction to seeing Gordon Ramsey call his boss out is priceless! He's like a giddy kid watching the best movie he's ever seen and I love it! xD
This might've been the most dangerous episode Gordon's done with all the fighting, the cussing, the short tempered Italian man and that debt collector.
The fact that this is the very first episode of Kitchen Nightmares US version and they already introduced to the most stereotypical Italian-American with mob connection is wild
Aaaah it all makes sense now. This is much more closer to the UK version than the newer US drama arc version: fragmented family causing restaurant issues - bad hygiene fridge (mostly) - Gordon doesn’t see commitment - new launch - something causes delay in kitchen and 1 hr wait - end on a high - family united.
Dude, the waiter. I can't be the only one who senses a natural aura of profession around him. Dude walks confident, talks calm but direct and has clear, observant eyes. His boss is a child compared to him.
This is a common phenomenon, exclusively observed in men. I can stare into the fridge and 10 eggs staring back, next thing I do is add eggs to my shopping list lmao.
Peter and Gordon looked like two best friends who didn't see each other for years. That bonding they had in the family day, and genuine laugh and hugs...
I’ll just put this here for context, Peter had ties with the Bonnano crime family, The restaurant was closed down a year later this episode was released in 2007. Peter was kicked out of the group in 2011( I think ) and was disowned by his family, Peters father Yogi passed away in 2011 aswell. According to FBI sources they confirmed that Peter had small ties with the mob.
As easy as this guy was to dislike I gotta respect Gordon's ability to connect with people. There's a certain point where I'd have written off Peter's ability to front up and take ownership but Gordon managed to get through to him so deeply. Absolutely legendary charisma.
It did feel fake but he has a mentality of a teenager.. I as a teenager was behaving just like this tough and shit until I got shut up various ways, and now I'm functioning properly....
The funny thing is that Peter pushed his father twice during that brawl and shouted "That's my father!" when the debt collector was actually helping out his father and checking on him. xD
🤣🤣🤣I like how the Head Chef was enjoying every moment as Gordon was disciplining Peter🤣. He was like a little kid watching his big brother fetching a stolen toy from the bully.
Haha or should I go to the next block restaurant to get it 🤣🤣🤣 Has you noticed just after that 29:28 how Peter , his mother and father sitting in the restaurant as they were like customers and her mom is appreciating her food
I read his bio, when he was an apprentice and until he started his businesses he spent almost every day in restaurants, often sleeped only two hours. I guess that's why he's looking so messed up.
I think the main problem with this restaurant is the parents. They should have had the balls to exclude Peter from the business, but like most parents they had given in to blind love. And they seem to care far less about the daughter as well which is a tragedy.
I used to date an Italian guy, and I can tell you that his family is EXACTLY like this. They even yell and wave their hands around when they are agreeing with each other. They could be saying "I love you, Nona!" and it would still sound like they were about to kill each other. I went to their house for Christmas and showed up at 10am. The dad met me at the door, and the first thing he said to me was "Red wine or white?" Um, dude, how about breakfast first?
i dont know what terrible experience you got , i live in italy and nobody drinks wine before breakfast. also a good percentage not even at lunch except for celebrations and holydays.
he tells gordon he was late because of some weird delivery then 10 minutes later when gordon makes him smell rotten food he says "hey come on i just got up"
I don't think Gordon has any respect for someone who walks into the kitchen and eats the clams meant for a customer. Peter's literally sinking the business he's trying to save.
I gotta give Peter some respect at 24:44. He stood up for his father and for chef Ramsay. Even though he's clearly very bad with anger, he still had a good motive to be angry and he clearly cares about his family and even Ramsay if he was getting that mad about someone disrespecting them.
@xanmontes8715 just like most people here in the US ... feeling they're from a country they never been... just because their parents are from there smh
its so great how much peter changed. i think it was really important for him to have the experience of someone telling him the truth without being scared of his reaction
This is one of the few episodes where it’s presented as the food/recipes themselves not being the main issue. Like, he ditched the crab cakes because they were cold but he didn’t make any other complaints about them like he normally would. Every single thing he addressed was pretty much about the running, the organisation, etc
Guy's spending a thousand dollars to bleach his teeth, comping wine, and driving a freshly waxed luxury sedan while half his kitchen is busted, no wonder it went belly up.
After reading the update that the guy had mob ties, im not surprised by Gordon’s quieter demeanour. Everytime he pushed Peter and got a negative reaction, he backed of. He definitely realized there were mob ties
I love Gordon Ramsay, greatest man with very calm, not scared, black belt, and everything he can do what he can to calm every restaurants to come up with solutions and make restaurants much better
God i love just how Gordon stood in the Guy's face and looked straight into his soul and schooled him 😂😂😂❤ This was by far one of the best I've watched 💯
gotta respect Peter for sticking up for Gordon and his dad like that yes it was over the top but don't go looking for trouble and not expect to get someone biting back. peter reminds me of that crazy uncle you'd have who would act like a child but would have your back no matter what.
The problem here is the father. He doted on the son and he let him does what he wants. If he had taught him right and nurtured him better, he would have made this business so much better than it is as all he does is think about himself and in his own interests.
Fun fact: Peter was actually found to have connections with the Bonanno crime family, he quite literally was mob affiliated hence why he presented himself as so.
People are babies these days. Gordon is a chef and real chefs know kitchen are INSANE and so is everyone doing this for bread and butter. You can’t understand unless you’re in it! 16 hour days, burns, damn near chopping your fingers off, and no matter fucking what you have going on you have to get the food out and out correctly! Chefs are artists, creating food out of passion is a skill, people just need to get over it.
Sadly even though there was a massive change because of Gordon they still had to close their doors since funny enough peter did actually have mafia connections that were tied to family which is unfortunate
@@Seraphhhina you cant already tell by what he was talking about? When Peter had to run an errand earlier and Gordon asked where he was? Peter is a smart man using his words but he’s too stubborn and self centred.
I went from cooking with bullshit pots and pans and knives for YEARS, then I got into cooking watching Chef Ramsay, and as soon as I upgraded my whole kitchen it was so much more fun making food and loving it. Must be such a great feeling to have a restaurant kitchen like this upgraded fully.
It costs money to have a card operating system and they seemed to be already losing money, so it would’ve been an extra expense ontop of all the free food he was comping for his buddies. There may be some mob affiliation but just because they only took cash doesn’t mean that.
@@bnkh it use to be hugely expensive back then to have a card system. its like today where there is software card operate systems that you can buy a license for like $50 per month. it would of cost them like $1000's to impliment one as back then you had to get banks to install it
@@djs164 He was. Business got sold a week after the renovation, they used the show to get more money out of it. Peter was found to have connections to certain mob family
