Would not call raindeer a staple in Finnish kitchens. It's something almost all finns have had and enjoy, but since it is bloody expensive it really is a rare delicacy rather than a weekly protein to use.
@@arnoldszwarzenegger6832 depending on the cut, mince you can get for like 20€/kg (24$) but more expensive cuts like fillets can be like 60€/kg (72$). So not outrageous prices, but not something you'll feed a family of four every week 😅
I have literally slept in my RV next to where Gordon is cooking. We also swam in the river behind him before and after sleep. Nice to see a familiar location for once.
If any restaurant owner cooked the exact same burger for him: "Jesus, so greasy... What's with all that grease? Ab-solutely disgusting. What a shame.."
@@username3788 Probably pouring the grease onto a small plate "I mean, just look at it!" and give it to a waitress to bring it back "Thank you darlin', not your fault.."
Greasy? Like he said, reindeer is lean, the butter is to add the missing fat. But I'm sure "80sheavymetal" knows more about it than a Michelin star chef.
Anthony Bourdain made cooking/eating calming and peaceful. Gordon makes it hectic and stressful. The 2 chefs cannot be compared at all and to be honest I think people watch Gordon for his drama and yelling and not his cooking. Homie can't even make grilled cheese properly (:
I absolutely love watching everything you’ve done. You’ve been an inspiration for me in my kitchen. This video was the first one I’ve seen where you had a dull knife. That had to have chapped your ass.
Mr Ramsey I don’t know if you know this but you should; you are truly amazing in every way. The way you handle yourself is truly aspiring for those who are driven to accomplish more than the average person. Thank you for being true to yourself and elevating those around you. ♥️😇
All of the other reindeer Used to laugh and call him names They never let poor Rudolph Join in any reindeer games Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say "Rudolph, we see you with your nose so bright, Please put down that knife tonight.” Then how the reindeer feared him As some shouted out in fear "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer You'll go down in history"
Lol Gordon is such a liar sometimes when he's cooking on the fly. That cheese wasn't melting properly at all, so he had to drench it in piping hot butter to speed up the process ('baste it' lol).
I have eaten reindeer, but never a reindeer burger. Moose "burger" I have had though. Moose meat does not have much fat either, and it is interesting to see how much oil/butter Ramsay puts in there. Similar to when my grandmother made moose "burgers" - she used about the same amount of (real) butter as meat, and let it melt into the burger. The fat needs to come from somewhere. Especially important as the only moose meat we grinded was from old moose, and that meat is really dry. But "mushrooms"? That is a very highly priced Scandinavian delicacy! Cantarells! :D
A relatively light day for ol' Gordo "Beautiful" Ramsay: 12 "beautifuls" Just 1 "literallys" and 1 not-so-secret "Secret": 4:17 "the secret here now is toasting that bun, both sides"
What’s the best way to scale this up to cook for 4? Since you’re basting and cooking the veg w the burger do you just cook in serial, use 2 pans or can you cram a bunch of patties in the same pan? Thx!
Gordon actually had the correct pronunciation, the guy who corrected him used what people commonly think the pronunciation is. Both are fine, no one's gonna get mad about cheese pronunciation but even if nobody says it that way, Gordon was right
When he said that guy was like reindeer shit always in the middle of the forest, it was a call back to Gordon bumping into Marco too many times and Marco said, "Gordon, you're like dog shit. Always in the middle of the road."
Gowda?! Bwahahaha! Honestly, I wouldn't tease him except for the fact that he has made entire shows riddled with moments of him teasing others and pointing out their flaws. Mind you, in all fairness, those people signed up for it. Love ya Gordo. If you can dish it out, you'd better be ready to take it. Keep cooking, keep creating and keep being yourself. Your a joy to watch.
