@@nickbyrnes7408 The Romaine Mafia is claiming responsibility for the assassination. Damn this Lettuce War!!! How many more young, sprightly, leafy greens must perish in this tragic conflict?!??!?
9:39 I've done about 15 recipes from one of Ramsay's cookbooks and the most consistent thing I've noticed is his mastery of sauces/dressings. They're always incredibly easy to make and add so much flavor to the dish. This one is no different and I want to start making more of it for most of my salads, it's amazing.
Thank you Gordon. I'm at the stage of my life where processed foods have become a boring convenient compromise to suit the family for too long. I've always loved good salads at the expense of a restaurant premium, but thought it was some luxury item saved for holidays and special occasions. Also, I hate myself for that self-delusion. You've helped me find my passion for proper food without fear. It's a lovely side of you I wished I had observed long ago.
My grandmother makes some really nice french dressing: diced shallot, 1 spoon dijon mustard, 1 spoon red wine vinegar, 3 spoons olive oil, salt, pepper maybe a lil bit of honey for sweetness and it's great on any salad, tomatoes, avocado, beetroots anything really!

@@Gotov_s_MishaKsyusha This is literally the sweetest invitation I've ever seen. I would like to subscribe your channel, if I may? (I know the invitation wasn't for me) English subtitles will be helpful, as I only know very basic Russian. Спасибо 🙂
For the love of God, can someone tell me what is the brand of those spoons Gordon is using in every video?! They look amazing. And I can't find them anywhere!
The English have different names for greens. Also, that was NOT Thai basil he used, it was cilantro. Thai basil and Holy basil are same. It grows easily and forever.
Not a fan of chicories or Rocket. The 'courgette'thing I make on its own, tossing with either sushi vinegar or tarragon vinegar and some nuts for crunch and serve hot or cold.I prefer Lentils with nice smoky pork in a soup.
So, I'm vegan. And to the other vegans/vegetarians I'd say just take these salad recipes & replace the fish/salami/other meats (and dairy cheeses) with vegan/vegetarian versions (of which there are plenty of these days). That's better than making negative comments about his using shrimp, etc. Being rude to meat eaters doesn't help our cause. Just as we don't appreciate meat eaters insulting us they don't appreciated being insulted either. Lead by example. Even meat eaters can take a recipe & replace ingredients to their own taste.

One single leave of this to my little turtle Tuu and she doesn't want any pizza now! I have posted a video of her having to choose between pizza and your salad and her reaction was tragicomic 😂. Keep making these salads Gordon!!!
Chef is the reason why I started cooking as a kid (first saw him on MC Junior). But I would never want to have my cooking judged by him 😹 I know I would end up crying at some point.
Take it on the chin. He yells on his show, maybe in person, but ultimately it's not an attack to tear you down: its criticism. Criticism, seeing what was done wrong or could've been done better, is what helps you grow.
Hi Gordon! Could you do 10 minutes on how to make different dressings? e.g.-- vinaigrette, creamy, and weird (like green goddess with lots of parsley)? Sounds stupid, but I can *never* get the proportions correct. Cheers.
