BTCC 2011 - Snetterton, race 3 Gordon Shedden aims straight at a soft barrier at the exit of Williams to remove the front left wing hanging from his Civic. Shedden confirmed after the race that this manoeuvre was indeed intentional.
After the race, the presenters interviewed him and asked him if he had meant to do it, and he said yes, he knew he had to knock it off, and that the tyres were the only obstacle on the track he could use.
Tim Harvey took the words right out of my mouth... "No way!" If Gordon wins the title by a couple of points then that can go down as one of the best racing manouvers of all time!
@86THEMADHATTER He wasn't squeezed out, if u look close u can see him making the move with his stearingwheel when he sees the box, there was enough room for both of the cars to go past that corner without him going of the track! Smooth move Shedden! (sorry for bad english, not my native language!) :)
