Yes that was fantastic, a real treat. I saw him speak publicly in the late 'Nineties and was surprised that he was so gracious and humble in person.

The most important moment of the interview comes at about the 18 minute mark. He talks about how much money you have to raise just to stay a senator. That's true. And that's at the heart of what's wrong with politics.

It would be a world certainly on its way to something better if Gore Vidal, Harold Bloom, and Noam Chomsky continue to be involved in perhaps the most important discourse in American (if not WORLD) history!

It's funny Vidal says he cannot find "the Mystery of the Blue Room" in any encyclopedias that's because it is called The Secret of the blue Room
