I used to travel on this route from Vile Parle to Belapur CBD and back everyday between 1997 and 2001 and this video brought back good old memories 25 years later. If I remember - 1. This train used to run from Andheri to Belapur at that time. Goregaon to Andheri harbour lines were not constructed. There used to be only two trains from Andheri to Belapur in the morning and three trains from Belapur to Andheri in the evening. We had to take ST bus from Belapur to MGMCET at Kalamboli to attend college. 2. Raoli junction flyover before Vadala station was newly constructed back then. 3. All Navi Mumbai stations were pretty much a sensation. Some Bollywood movie songs were filmed at Juinagar, Nerul, and Belapur stations (Rangeela Re song specifically). 4. Seawoods Darave and Mansarovar stations did not exist at that time. It was open land where Seawoods station exists today. 5. Kharghar and Khandeshwar stations used to be just one small platform and only a few trains ran between Belapur and Panvel on a single line. 6. There were no buildings near Kharghar station. Only students attending Bharti Vidyapeeth college used to board train at Kharghar. In fact, the Siemens building after Kharghar station was the only prominent building in this area. 7. Trans-harbour line between Thane and Vashi was being constructed at that time. Since there was no internet in 1997, we did not know where the tracks going left after Sanpada station went to. Things changed so much in 25 years.

Hi Anand, What this new station Seawoods Dharave.?(I mean How it got this name? I left Mumbai in '94..after living in Bombay for 39 years, 6 months, 3 weeks and 4 days & 15 hrs.. Thanks for your 7 detailed Explanation. We used to stay at GTB Nagar (Then Sion Koliwada) Rly,Qrts..Now Iam travelling by Metro train in Hyderabad & Chennai!
