Isn't it amazing how craftsmen from so long ago had the skills and mindset to create such beautiful buildings that have lasted for hundreds of years. England certainly has a lot of wonderful architecture, from the smallest, quaint cottage to the most magnificent castles. You are so lucky to be able to go and enjoy them. Lovely vlog. Thanks for sharing. We watch Harry Potter every year in the Advent/Christmas period to😊. I took my boys to Oxford last summer and we did our own "Harry Potter" tour... it was SO BUSY we didn't get to go everywhere we wanted. But we saw quite a few places used in Harry Potter...including Christchurch college. My 11yr old son loved listening to it.. he listened to the kids and adult info at every stop!

I do love Joerg’s tweed jacket ?and hat and scarf. Very dapper. Oh and the red pants match the threads in the jacket. Also love all your fashionable wear. Such a great time seeing all the old buildings inside and outside. Especially liked the vista from the church as it gave a sense of size. All the food looked scrumptious and must have been a warming treat with the hot chocolate. Joerg reply about his college is such fun. His sense of humor is refreshing. Oh you two are in your Element @ Oxford!! You are the very picture of an English Country Gentelman Squire and his Lady all dressed in woolen tweed and tartan and English leather. What an amazing place to visit and I so very much enjoyed it and was so glad you got to get a little sunshine while you were visiting, those days are always so much better than gray days, which we have had a lot of here in the south of the USA because of snow lately. Thank you for lifting a dreary, cold January day. Last week I was in Oxford, where I used to live. I love the Sheldonian, Christ Church meadow and the Damascus Rose cafe run by Syrian refugee Ladies at the Old Fire Station and the Alice in Wonderland tea room, down st Aldates.
My husband and I have always wanted to tour England and stay in cottages too. I've made some of my home furniture look floral like an English cottage. Thanks for showing us the lovely landscape and the cosy homes. Vicarious pleasure. Btw, I did learn German too for a few years in Max Mueller Bhavan, Goethe Institut, India. And your voice is so soft and soothing. Thanks once again and looking forward to more of these, as I've have been following your channel for quite some time now.

Die alten Gebäude sind so faszinierend ich liebe das auch alles dort anzusehen. Ich habe einige Filme mit Morse angeschaut und war immer so hin und weg wegen den alten Gebäuden. Das ist bestimmt einmalig da durchzulaufen. Der Speisesaal ist gigantisch mit den vielen Kunstwerken und den schönen Lampen auf den Tischen. Auch Cambridge ist so so schön, Punting dort macht so Spaß und man kommt einen Blick auf die Colleges, die man sonst so nicht sehen kann. Ich durfte dort ein Semester studieren und es war eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich nie vergessen werde. Ganz liebe Grüße und ein schönes Wochenende für euch.

Nice to see you in my neck of the woods as I live next door to minster Lovell in the town of Witney, lunch at the minster mill in the summer is lovely as you can sit outside next to the river, there is so much to see in Oxford you would definitely need a good few days there, I would definitely recommend the museum of natural history (Pitt rivers) if you go back, the Victorian gothic build with it's cast iron and glass roof is wonderful to see, I'm glad you had a nice time in Oxfordshire.

I love visiting Oxford. My daughter lives in the neighboring county, Buckinghamshire. You should visit Stowe House if you have never ventured there. Also, great B and B next door called Ivy Cottage in Chackmore.
