There's nothing quite like summer in Vermont. I love to get outside in my gardens. In this video I also got to tour a beautiful garden near where I live. I also share a garden themed thrift haul. What was your favorite find?
The Seven Spring Farm is amazing. What a tranquil treat to be able to visit and walk through such beauty. You mentioned his wife passed...I hope he is not alone in that big beautiful home. The two sheep are my favorite, of all the interesting sculptures. The vista views of the garden, hills and sky is pure magic! That he planted such a serene garden for all of us to enjoy, will be his legacy. Thank you Sir!
The farm and gardens are truly a gift to the public. The gentleman who owns them is extremely civic minded as well and donates generously to lots of local arts organizations. We are truly blessed!
It's so good to see you, Kathleen. Your home gardens and landscape look lush and I'm sure lots of blooms have yet to come. Oh, what a perfect Vermont day it would be... the local market stand and then the tour of the Seven Springs Gardens. How beautiful and serene it is with the background of the mountains (Green Mountains?) and so much movement in the garden beds. Your thrifted finds 👍👍👍 especially the tiles and the leaf table from the free pile - jackpot!!
Hello Marybeth! Yes - those are the Green Mountains in the background. My mom and I so enjoyed ourselves at the sculpture garden - it really was such a lovely day!
I felt so peaceful watching the 7 Springs Garden and Sculpture Park footage, thank you for sharing with us. Kathleen, your garden is so beautiful! Everything here in Texas is now struggling with the heat so it’s nice to see your gorgeous plants!
Good to see you again Kathleen. My favorite find was a toss up between the tablecloth and the big pineapple for the shelf or mantle. I like the idea of a freebie pile ....one man's trash is another man's treasure.
What a sweet summer video and so good to see you again Kathleen. Your tablecloth is lovely. Nothing better then a good old fashioned farmer's market, just love them Thanks for this video and have a great summer.
Hi Kathleen! I've missed you. You're so lucky to be able to spend time with your mom in such beautiful gardens. My mother would love that but is no longer able to walk as much unfortunately. I'm very jealous of your artichoke figurines - I've been on the hunt for some for awhile. Hope you are enjoying your time off from school. Have a great rest of the summer!
Your garden looks great! Now is the time to cut that allium flower. If you don't, you most likely will not have a bloom next year. I harvest them, save them in the garage, and then use them for fall decorations. If you want it for the sculptural effect now, cut the stem and then stick it back into the soil. This way, the flower won't drain the bulb of energy it will need for next year.
Hi Kathleen, can’t wait to visit Seven Springs…just beautiful! I live fairly close to Manchester and come often, would you mind sharing the name of your local thrift shop? Thanks!
Good morning Kathleen! Thank you for a beautiful video! I love your vegetable garden, so lush! The Seven Springs gardens are gorgeous!. You thrifted lovely things again! 🌸🌺🌼🏵
LOVED this video so much. All of the garden themed items are beautiful, but nothing compares to your exquisite gardens and the spectacular garden tour. This was definitely one of my faves! ❤
Hi its good to see you Kathleen. Your garden is doing great . Never heard or seen those garlic strings before. Again some lovely thrift items. Thanks for sharing that beautiful garden walk. Catch you next time xxxx
Hi Kathleen! The Seven Springs gardens are just gorgeous. Can you imagine getting up every morning early and walking through the gardens with your coffee? And your vegetable garden is coming along beautifully. Your lettuce and Swiss chard are so lush. My mom always made creamed Swiss chard on toast for breakfast. So good! Loved your thrift finds!
