First metal album I ever bought. Gorgoroths classic discography + Quantos have been in my rotation all the time since 2014/15

I agree 100%. But Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt is a good one, with this shorthair guy from Florida but ok..., Pest did a good job also. Think you would enjoy it.

Say what you want about Gaahl, but at least he is still active in the Black Metal scene. Pest is a history teacher in some one horse town in Tennessee...and now goes by the name of "Mr. K." Odd place for a Norwegian Black Metal musician to end up.

I don't really listen to much "pure" black metal anymore but if I could name a couple of favourites they'd probably be Impaled Nazarene's Ugra-Karma, Darkthrone's A Blaze and Transilvanian Hunger, Gorgoroth's Pentagram, Satanic Warmaster's debut and probably some other albums. If we're talking about other black metal genres then it's easier for me to name some releases, namely Beherit's The Oath of Black Blood and Drawing Down the Moon, anything from Blasphemy's discography, Sepultura's Morbid Visions, Absu's debut, pretty much anything from Archgoat, Poison's Into the Abyss, Grotesque's In the Embrace of Evil, early Profanatica and early Bathory albums. Sorry for the amount of text.
