Genki girl just goes with the flow. She sits on her high perch and munches on her leaves and watches below. Her awareness is acute. She certainly is a balance for her two active sons. I wonder what she is feeling and thinking. She remains one of my favorites. Love the whole family
Momotaro is King, Genki is his Queen and they have two handsome Prince’s. This family learns so much from each other and I’ve learned a lot about them thanks to GL and his platform . Thank you GL! Watching them brings me such joy! ❤ 🦍

Gentaro's body has really changed! He has those pecs, huge thighs, sway back and strut. I hope the zoo finds him a new home soon so he can start his own family.
@Greg Sutton- Momotaro's ejaculation was not an act of sexual gratification, it was a response to an act of domination over his son Gentaro. These behaviors do not correlate with human behaviors, so sometimes they are difficult to understand. Momotaro was avoiding a physical altercation with Gentaro, so his restraint manifested in this behavior which was a clear sign to Gentaro that Momotaro is the Silverback and is not to be challenged.

All I can say is my handsome baby Gentaro is becoming a fully grown silverback 😢,,(for myself I was absolutely hopeful that he would stay a blackback forever,,, I know this could not happen I’m not that crazy YET😂😂😂) But with this we MIGHT get to see Gentaro’s handsome/beautiful babies if he even gets a wife that is😢. Momotaro didn’t get a silverback to grow up with so this is all new for him also and that’s sad in itself.. IDK 🤷♀️ (just me thinking out loud) If Momotaro had a silverback growing up and became rebellious his self it would help him with Gentaro,,, something like the first time human parents that old joke the first born is my practice child. @@sandraaguirre1906 He is not sexually excited in the sense that he wants to mate with him, he uses that tactic to assert dominance, to show Gentaro that dad is still the Silverback. This behavior in no way correlates to the human behavior of some very aggressive men in prison who use forced copulation for dominance.
It will be a sad day when Gentaro goes BUT it needs to happen and it needs to happen like NOW, he deserves his own opportunity at a family and to lead a troop, right now he is bored and this zoo really needs to step up and step in, their enclosure is WAY to small for another big male.
Gentaro is being dhown a lot of patience by his father .Momo is even more gentle than most silver backs are but hes going to explode soon . Hes giving off subtle warnings to Gentaro . Im pretty sure Gentaro knows this thats why he's flighty soon as Momo moves toward him . But he will catch him soon its a natural thing in the wild .The fathers giving their grown up sons a beating. Its when the grown up sons come back as fully developed silver backs that they take over groups . More often than not they take their fathers group from them . Some fathers will stop & fight which can result in their death or very serious injury. Some fathers know theyre beat & accept defeat . Not many di that though . But if I was goung to think of any silver back relinquishing his group without a fight , it would be Momo. Simply because he never knew his own father & missed out on a lot of a silver backs development. This is why i always feel sorry for Momo i look at him as just being a big child .
Where have you read the younger silverback takes over the older silverback’s troop. I’d love to see the research. That is opposite of all the studying I have done. Source?
Gentaro looks to be just a little taller than momo.. And Momo has been doing that shaking sence he first came to the zoo when he was tring to figure out how to mate with Mama...... It's normal for him.. thats how he gets hiself off.. you can see the fluid he leaves when done kintaro goes and smells it..

It was me. In the video in which I commented, he did. Even Kintaro knew and smelled it on the ground. Momotaro's sexual stimulation by Gentaro's musk, triggered by his sexual maturity, is a way in which Momotaro can tell Gentaro that dad is still the Silverback. Gentaro's posturing with his lips curled inward is a sign of his rebellion. He does it when he rampages and harasses Genki. Gentaro is testing his father because of his increased hormone level. Momotaro is trying to warn Gentaro that his posturing is not acceptable, and is trying to avoid a physical confrontation like the one that occurred in the previously mentioned video. If Gentaro keeps up the stare-downs, there will be another physical confrontation. So much of this gorilla behavior is innuendo and body language. It is very interesting to watch!

No, she isn't. If you are referring to her large abdomen, she has digestive issues due to dental problems. Most of her jaw teeth have been pulled and the front teeth have many cavities. Not having a good set of teeth, she is unable to chew her food properly, and it takes her much longer to eat. The poor dental hygiene is due to being fed an overabundance of fruits when she was young. This is one reason why the zoo does not feed fruit on a regular basis. 🦍🦍 Happy gorilla watching to you!
He has, I just saw a video of it.. even worse, these sickos filmed a video of Gentaro penetrating little Kinney and posted it. Then later, filmed another video if Gentaro shut up in a small room with Kintaro and shockingly, molested him again.. couldn't have seen that one coming... @Gorillalife To the videographer Gentaro is already considered an adult from 8 years old. He is not becoming an adult. Gorillas younger than 3 are infants, from 3-6 they are juveniles, from 6- 8 there adolescents and from 8 and above they are adults. I'm not trying to be rude, but please do your research on gorillas. Some people watch these videos for information and might think it's factual. It's just I've seen on a good few of your videos misleading information put on the screen throughout the video.
Some say that a male gorilla bcomes silverback around 14 to 15. The reasearch for western lowland gorillas just started around 2000. To put it in a nutshell, just 23 years. We have few information of them. Ps Okay I will . Let me know if my explanation is incorrect please.
@Gorilla-Life I did not question when a male gorilla becomes a silverback. My point was about you saying, "Gentaro is becoming an adult" when he is already an adult gorilla. At the minute, Gentaro is classed as a YOUNG ADULT BLACKBLACK when he becomes a SILVERBACK he is known as a MATURE MALE. This is all in the research.
Why is momotaro doing the mating dance looking at his son , he did that dance with Genki when thay first started mating , I don't think momotaro knows how to respond to Gentaro because he never growled up with a dad..
