You can definitely see how Momo has matured into a really good father. He didn't have a silverback to teach him growing up and it has taken some time, but it looks like his natural daddy instincts have kicked in. I also think he has had enough of Gentaro rough housing. Gentaro is just doing what black backs do. I so wish I had the money to build them a bigger and better habitat. Thank you for sharing these videos :)
Gentoro "rough housing " as you called it is totally natural for his age . If he don't rough it up now ,when is he going to ?? He is leaning about what he is made of .👍 Maybe him and fancy pants (Shabini's daughter ) can get together 👍. Lol. They both act like their homones are getting out of control sometimes 🤔😲😛😀 . To me he (Gentoro )also looks alot like his mom . I see young Ginka in him at this stage .❤️😍❤️
It is sweet that you would lve to pay for a better enclosure. But to be honest: It is sad wgen a Zoo keeps animals, and says loud it cannot afford even to feed them well. Our Zoo does not have -we call it Schuhschnabel, a huge african bird- anymore. They are hard to keep; in the olden days the Chief took them with him abd they enjoyed his heated human bathroom, -tube, etc. We are the Capital City, our Zoo is praised everywhere. But they say: These birds sure suffer, and so we do not keep them. Saaad, they are so cuuute! But on the other hand: Proud for these animal lovers. Kyoto has a very far way to go until that point :(
I think Momo is teaching Gentaro the ways of a Silverback! How else could he show him it's his job to stop all squabbling within his own troop!! Just showing him how you keep things calm and peaceful! He must be the one who controls his own troop! The Silverback stops the fighting between the wives too! Momo is just being GORILLA! Good job Momo! He is not hurting Gentaro just demonstrating what he'll need to do!!
Love how Kintaro starts playing with Gentaro but Gentaro only gets in trouble lol once Gentaro is gone, the parents will realize how much Gentaro helped them out playing with Kintaro. They’ll be left with Kintaro’s hyperness themselves and wish they still had Gentaro. Calling it now
Absolutely !! I really don't want Gentoro to leave too soon . Maybe a play date with other gorillas his age or a visit , then goes back home . But I don't think it works that way .🤔🙄😝😜

Remember years ago where Gentaro at kinny age or older he would always drag or hurt kintaro because he want a playmate so I think kintaro is unstoppable as well he's at that age where he love playing & exploring ;)
That's not going to happen. Gorillas protect their young. Including from their older siblings. If Gentaro was in the wild then he would be ran out at his age. His departure is imminent. Prepare yourselves for it rather than trying to apply human logic to Apes.
I think Momotaro needs to relax, they are rough housing (playing). Nothing bad. The fact that Gentaro plays with Kintaro all the time saving them the job of having to do that, should be appreciated. But he is the Silverback and is doing his job.

Momotaro is a beautiful, regal silverback. I love watching him watch his little one. They are such awe inspiring creatures. Watching Momo and his family is like watching a tv drama LOL, but I would so love to see him and them in their natural habitat though, instead of inside cages.

Os irmãos estão bem agitados hoje, numa bagunça que não tem fim e parece que a agitação está interferindo na paz de Momotaro, que interfere varias vezes sempre batendo em Gentaro como se tivesse protegendo Kintaro. Mamãe Genki não interrompe a brincadeira dos meninos, mas quando Kintaro brinca com Miss Hina ela aparece observando seu bebê. People are so distressed by Momotaro protecting Kintaro and seem to forget that Gentaro is approaching the age of rebellion - his maturity in the wild means he would either take over his current territory or strike out on his own. I’ve seen comments that he’s being transferred to another zoo…but this is good news for him - a territory of his own, a mate of his own, and a chance to show new Patreons what a goofball he truly is
Lol I do hope so . He is becoming a young man . You can take the gorilla to the water but you can't make him drink . Figuratively speaking. You can take them out of their habitat but you can't take their true habitat or their nature out of them . I don't think it's possible to not love this family. That said, I am scared for the Family's reaction of Gentaro's departure. I don't want to see them upset. I suppose that is how it works, and clearly all of you who take such great care of them Will make it a great and wonderful experience for Gentaro, and I have zero doubt you will relieve the stress for the other Three Family members 💕 That minute 2:50 mark, Momo is sitting above kintaro with what seems like an uncommunicative message, like "Slow your Roll Son," but also just a testament on how close this family is and how great of a father Momo has become. Momotaro has been sleep mentally/silverback for a long time. He is just starting to show something. Hey I wonder if he expected or realizes Gentaro was and is his son. I'm just saying 🤷 because he was so distant and unforgiving. How he brutally attacked Gentaro the first time leaving wound him. Now after adlest 2 years Gentaro has been playing with Kentaro and he never stopped Gentaro before.

Gentaro is just a big baby himself and as long as I've been watching them he has never once ever ever hurt his little brother he would protect him with his life you can bet on that. They're just doing what brothers do, playing in roughhousing even with a roughhousing it's not rough.

Poor Gentaro, always getting roused by Momotaro, he is only playing and is always gentle, but Kintaro is ALWAYS the one to start trouble, but Gentaro ALWAYS gets the blame, I really miss how much Momotaro and Gentaro used to play before Kintaro came along, it was beautiful
