A very special video! Gorilla baby twins N'Kato (male) and N'Hasa (female) where born on the 13th of June in 2013 in Burgers Zoo (Netherlands). N'Gayla was the perfect mom and knew how to raise both of them! (daddy silverback: Bauwi and mommy: N'Gayla)
In this video you'll see more babies because it was kind of a babyboom around that time.
Nukta: born 25th of April 2013
You'll also see little N'Washi who now a days lives in Beekse Bergen.
N'Kato and N'Hasa are now 7 years old (in 2020) and are still living in Burgers Zoo!
Jenny, a good friend of mine had some videos of the their childhood and gave them to me, to share with you. So I want to thank her again for giving me the opportunity to share this with you guys!

I love the way she grabs the baby’s hand several times and kisses it. How many times I did that with my own newborn babies.

It was a surprise! The zookeeper who found them in the morning filmed it (in dutch) but his reaction is so full of emotion and love it's wonderful!

WOW, it truly amazing how big. But gentle they are with their baby's. But the babies being so small and are able to keep a hold of mom, without falling off..

Great video! Mom sure had her hands full but she did a great job. Looks like one of the other females tried to take one of the babies to “babysit” but mom looked reluctant and wanted to take it back lol

Haha yes next week I'll post more. She did allow and even sometimes asked the other females to babysit. But this time other females came along and she hesitated I think ;).

Luckily the family helps and other women babysit the twins sometimes. But she is a wonderful mommy who raised her twins wonderfully

OMG little N'Washi! 😍 As we know, she became a beautiful gorilla lady who is now "auntie" to Mies and Moos. And for those who may not know, Bauwi the silverback is the full brother of Shabani, the famous gorilla living now in Japan.

I loved watching the Bauwi troop, they made good use of his incredible genes... Haven't seen them since covid, I was sad they were sending Bauwi & his boys to China...I have been watching Shabani for along time, He is gorgeous like his brothers & sister's... since she has two I’m gonna have take one before she kills the weaker one because thats what they do. This is why the gorills love mating so much because they get their very baby gorilla.

I translated your reaction, so sorry for answering in English but I don't speak Spanish/Portuguese. The family is doing great and for now they're stil together but soon the silverback Bauwi will move with his sons to make place for a new silverback. Because of covid they pushed the move, so I hope to see them when the lockdown is over here in the end of January to give you all an update! Merry Xmas!

@@neuzamaria4979 No females will be going with him, only his sons. If I understood correctly, they will be a singles men group. Bauwi fulfilled his job and his genes are very wel represented. If they want to breed again in Burgers Zoo, they'll need new genes/a new silverback.

@@shortee44dirocco48 In the family currently the twins her only kids but she has got more children. N'Washi is also a daughter of hers, and she now lives in Beekse Bergen with Kisiwa,Mies, Tuena and Moos. We're still in lockdown over here. When it is over I'll update on them. I can see if I can upload some pictures of them from the last time I saw them ;)
