NOooooo!!!! 😭 Some Gorilla Mommys nurse their young until they’re 5 years oLd!!!! Besides it’s **not a fuLL Feed 🍼** since by that age they’re eating vegatation 🍃 🍁 fruits 🍉 🥭 🍊 and vegetables 🥦 🌽 🥕🫑. It’s more of a Comfort thing for the youngster.

@@renewashington791that is mostly in zoo's. In the wild most mothers have their babies weaned before they are 4. Because if a new silverback takes over and they are not weaned, he will likely kill them. However we know nene still nursed kyo until he was almost 7 .😅😅

As another primate mother who went through this phase, I'm thinking she let Jabali drink for a moment just to ease the pressure. Weaning isn't easy for mom or child, trust me! 🙁

Jabali 😩 first time I've seen Ringo pull the face. I can't say I've seen many toddler's pull that face, i understand they have to go through it, at some stage i think it's more for comfort. Kintaro never got told no but Genki didn't have alot of milk. 😉

Gorillas breastfeed 3 to 4 years, and some breastfeed up to 5 years. So Tayari is right on time to wean him. Ringo is not too far behind.

I feel weird with Jabali facial reaction. Can what I see as a goofy grin 😁 at you as that or embarrassing to him or as he knows the camera ....you are like dad. He is not mad or angry right. I read if they show teeth, they are angry. I don't sense that. I sense a youngster knowing he is about to get his stinking way 😂❤

😭 I know Madam TAYARI has given in to Boy JAB on more than one occasion and **Given him a feed 🍼** BRIEF tho it may have been 😠 but I CAN’T STAND to see him cry. He’s ONLY 3 Years and some Months Old!!! And it’s not even a FuLL Feed, but more of a Comfort thing for him. I’m Not ready to see him Weaned 🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s not uncommon for captive gorillas to nurse longer. Leslie was nursing over 5 years old. Other mothers have nursed their gorilla offspring 7/8 years old.
