Hi. You need something to go over your shoes and cover your ankles, think they were called waders, to stop the bullet ants crawling up your legs. They are meant to be really painful! You are advised to pay a local ‘porter’ to carry your bag as a way to help the local community but they also give you a hand across river crossings etc. We paid $15. We had to walk for about 90 mins to find the gorillas but were warned it can take up to 12 hours. Weather is good for it at this time of year. Not too wet or too roasting! Hope that helps.
